Quote:Not only are we tired of losing, but these conversations are getting old.  Instead reveling in victory, we can't realistically discuss even winning a game.  We're left to ponder how bad we're going to lose - with no end in sight.  When we don't even compare with almost every other team in the league, burnout is expected.  I know I'm reaching that stage.  We're a laughingstock.  National sports broadcasts only confirm our existence because they have to announce the score of the game we just lost to a team that is viable and competitive.  It's all just getting old.
yes we have not been competitive for a long time but this is the second year of rebuilding the second year!
Quote:Don't include me with your "every poster accepted the fact we would not be competitive until year 3" statement. I challenge anybody to pull up a quote from either Gus or Dave who claimed we would not be competitive until year 3. I know that's the common perception around these boards but I haven't heard it from those in charge of the team.

Rebuild, rebuild, rebuild.........................the problem is we have sucked for the past 7 years and the last 2.5 seasons we have a total of 7 wins! It's getting old and no one here is getting younger.

so completely gutting a team you expect to be a playoff contender in one and a half years! It doesn't matter how long we have been rebuilding we have a new organization that is a little more then a year and a half of rebuilding that is what we judge them on not seven years! So you expected the team to be gutted and competitive in a year and a half! Really!

I challenge you to pull up any quote I made claiming I expected them to be a playoff contender in one and a half years! You can't do it. But, fellow Jag fan, there is a broad spectrum between winning 1 game in the second season and being a playoff contender in the second season. To this day we are still stuck on the boundary of that spectrum with 1 win.

But even a team in rebuild should win more games, or at least not look so damn incompetent.
Quote:That is quite a generalization of fans who dont agree with the direction of their 1 win franchise.

Where's that Whoosh when you need it?

I never said that you claimed or expected them to be a playoff team or contender in a year and a half. It was more of a question so I should have ended the sentence with a question mark instead of a period. You think it has not been difficult being a Jaguar fan the last seven years for me! Yes I expected more then one win at this point in the season but I do see improvement from being beat by twenty points or more and becoming competitive and in the game except for rookie mistakes that are only decrease by experience.

I did expect more then one win but I don't see the teams play the last to games as incompetent i see rookie mistakes that are not uncommon the first year of play in the NFL.  Today this team came back and showed no sign of folding but once again our rookie quarterback end any come back with a poor decision. but lets not forget he also was responsible for two drives that put us in a position to win. Experience that is what these young players need an that takes time.
Some people want massive firings and be like oakland... the Smart fans want us to right the ship and be a perennial contender like NE, GB and Pitt.  I am firmly in the 2nd group, because I am smart.

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other. Let us know which one gets full first.
Quote: What I have learned today from my fellow Fans:

1. We should fire:

    The HC

    The OC

    The DC

    The Special Teams Coach

2. We should cut:

    Scobee

    Anger

3. After less than a half season our Rookie QB

    Is a bust

    Is ruined beyond repair

    Will never improve

There is never a dull moment on this board....but as I always I greatly admire the passion of my fellow fans.

Indeed.  There is never a dull moment.  Unfortunately, all the moments which are not dull are pretty much all negative.  You're moment included.

1 win.  And yet, here were are having to read some holier than thou poster tell us that we need to calm down.  1 win...  1 win...  Ouch

Quote:I've got to tell you it's tiresome to be the laughing stock year after year with nothing but hope to keep us afloat.

1 win...  And we really should have at least 4...  Dude, we had Miami, Pitt, t'acks, and now Cincy...  Accepting these losses is not acceptable, if that makes sense.

Quote:And on top of that, be told by "fellow" posters that you are an idiot for wanting change.

Exactly.  Especially if you actually watch these games.  It's not like we're a joke anymore.  We have the talent.  Our team has no idea how to be winners.  And it seems that the OC has no idea how to be a winner either.  On top of that, I'm concerned that Bradley doesn't get it either.

And to top if off, we have a rookie QB that probably needs the type of mentorship that Fish and Bradley cannot provide.  awe man, we're in trouble...
