Scobee and Lewis maybe, Poz is average
Quote:Does the standard of conduct get paid, or did you mean higher?
Higher - corrected.  Thanks.
Quote:It's obvious that education is not valued in determing who is an admin for the forum. Dragon wants to take his bat and ball and run away when someone disagrees with him.
Note that navyjagfan hasn't been banned or warned or even threatened with any kind of punishment for posting a opinion that differs from mine. Neither has the thread be altered or deleted. I'm not sure how allowing a discussion to take place is equal to running away.

We are held to a higher (correct spelling) standard. Doesn't mean have to play nice at all times.
they said that one kick was a little low (the 55 yarder) but the rest were on the blockers...

Poz has been the Jaguars' leading tackler every year he has been on the team. Dude's practically a machine on defense.
Quote:the blocking up front was fine, they said.

just lol

Not sure where this was said, but all anyone had to do was watch the punt that resulted in the safety and see for themselves that Telvin Smith whiffed on the guy that ended up blocking the punt. Not sure how anyone could put that on Scobee and I'm not saying that you did. But you're saying someone did say it.
Did I miss something?  How does Anger having 2 punts blocked fall on Scobee's shoulders?

Quote:Not at their current salaries. All three are way overpaid - Lewis is probably the most overpaid player for his production (or lack thereof) in the NFL.
ummmmm their salaries would be what the new team pays.. Their current salaries wouldnt carry over to new team if we let them walk in free agency

Mike Thomas found another team too. So what. They all need to go.

An admin can say whatever they please.....it is us mere mortals that must watch our tone and our language!

Machines break down over time. Not disagreeing with you that Poz would find a new home pretty quick, but it would be in a reduced role at a much lower salary. He's an old, two-down linebacker who times his 40 with a calendar.

Gus said the 55-yarder was a combination of bad blocking and a low kick.

Now the blockers aren't helping our punter either. Do we need a new special teams coach?

Technically, only one punt was blocked. The first time a Bengals player tried to block it, the ball crossed the LOS.

People are still talking about the 55-yarder at Tennessee. Pathetic.

That's not in the rules either. Just don't curse when you're doing it though. BTW, when you get into a argument about the rules, make sure it isn't with soemone who makes the bloody rules. Because they have vastly more knowledge on the subject then you will ever have.

You would think an "administrator" would behave a bit better on a Jags forum. Quite unprofessional.
Couldn't agree more.. There is a small cadre of 'moderators' on here that are anything but. Completely unacceptable.

What was said that warranted that reply? The guilty parties need to be purged from the forum, and it will only happen if people speak up about it Better still, they need to recognize the error of their discourteous discourse, apologize to the members, and resign their designations, or change their behavior. It is not their forum, it is in place for the fans. I'm sure their behavior is equally despicable away from the forum. It's shameful, and that is being kind.

The affronted member deserves a public apology.
As for Scobee, this was perhaps the most let down I have felt toward him. Is he hurt or something?

The out of bounds kick at that moment of the drama was inexcusable for a veteran kicker. All those young players risking life and limb to stay with a more experienced and confident team, and the kicker spots them the 40 yard line? Horrendous.

And why the heck can't he kick it out of the endzone??

Hey, I'm not calling for his head.. but give him the duncecap on this one. I put the loss on him more than any single player.

As a veteran, he let everyone down at a time when all that was asked was a normal kickoff. Worst season I can remember on his part. But I have confidence in him. Hopefully he eats his humble pie, and recognizes he's got the easiest job on the team save for Henne.

And Banger...what the ???
Quote:As for Scobee, this was perhaps the most let down I have felt toward him. Is he hurt or something?

He did have an injury earlier in the season that may be a factor.  I think it was a quadricep strain.  Anyone else recall any details of that?

I think he'll bounce back.

Anger is fine, BTW.  The punt protection failed.
Quote:Why would you replace a reliable kicker, who has a stronger leg than most kickers in the league?

Is this even true anymore at this point? If I recall correctly one of his kickoffs yesterday was fielded around the 10 yard line. His TB's seem way down as well.
