Quote:Here are the team stats for the Jaguars and Broncos...

KO Return Avg... Jaguars #8, Broncos #11

Punt Return Avg... Broncos #15, Jaguars #32 (Walters truly sucks as a PR)

KO Return Coverage (Least Yds Allowed Ave)... Broncos #7, Jaguars #11

That KO return avg is thanks to finally putting Lee back there (if he isn't the primary KR next year, I will freak out).
Walters returned punts because he has secure hands. Greene looked to have a case of the yips this year.
KO coverage seemed to be fine this year.
GOD we were awful at punt coverage. I do not think Norman was out kicking the coverage at all. Lack of filling lanes and missing tackles. Thompson made some nice plays as a gunner however.
Does Rashad Green get another chance? He showed a ton of potential in his rookie season yet he was very bad last season. His position is one of those positions where second chances dont come too often. He muffed a few punts and that is the bread and butter of his job. I liked him and thought he was going to be a great Punt Returner for us. Maybe Decamillis can work on him this offseason. I hope he gets another chance, think he has potential to be a lethal Punt Returner. Wonder how much coaching played into his dip in form.
Decamillis is a solid ST coach with definite experience. He's a good hire for the job, and better than what we have...

Agreed. I hope he gets at least a pre-seaon game or two to redeem himself. Hopefully he can capitalize.

Remember all the blocked FG's during Mallory's tenure? I do.

Id say he gets another shot, but one more muff and he could get cut. Its a position that doesn't give second chances too much. Kinda like long snapper, once you whiff on the snap, you kinda lose your faith with the team.
Joe D is a solid coach. Was in the running for the Dallas HC job years back IIRC.
Glad to have him back in Jax.
Welcome back Joe D
Its getting good
Loved Joe Decamillis when he was here, he made a marked impact on the quality of our ST play. I was rather upset when he bolted for the same position in Dallas. Really glad we got him back; I'm quite content with how the assistant coach hires have been going thus far, it's a far cry from Bradley's staff which consisted of "who?" and Jerry Sullivan.

But their not Marrone's guyzz!!!
I think this move will be good for an extra 1-2 wins a year.
I'm just curious about the holdout on naming an OC. Not satisfied with Hackett? Hoping to reel in a big fish from a team currently in the playoffs? Who is a QB or offensive coach that is seen as an up and coming OC?

I think that's the best guess at the moment.
Wade Wilson, Tom Clements, Mike Munchak are offensive guys that may be on that list.
