20 Things You Didn't Know About 'Young Frankenstein'

It's been 40 years, time to celebrate the Mel Brooks Halloween favorite.

With the 40th anniversary of the release of Young Frankenstein coming up in December, Halloween seems like the right time to pay homage to the film that skewered the monster movie genre back in 1974. Co-writers Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks penned the script and Brooks directed an all-star cast en route to almost $87 million domestic, not bad for a movie that cost $3 million to make.

Anybody see the musical adaptation? Deep Love will crack you up every time. Sung by the brunette from Will and Grace when it was on Broadway.

What hump?
Quote:What hump?

The best line in the whole Mel brooks series. I laugh every time even though I've watched it over a dozen times.
"Werewolves!"

"There, there wolves. There castle."
