Early in the Miami game, Bortles noticed the offense was in an illegal formation, he called a timeout, came back and threw a bomb into the end zone, which if it hadn't wobbled, would have probably been a TD. So what's the problem?
I agree that it needs to be worked on; and can get annoying sometimes. However, first half timeout use doesn't bother me as much as 2nd half ones. We have a ton of inexperience on the offense and it's going to happen. If it continues through next year, then yea; definitely an issue. Right now, it's ok.
GO JAGS!!
Quote:Again, I would prefer the team be able to call a play and our offense be able to run that play. It's really not that hard to do...high school offenses use signals or run a player in and out. We have a coach calling the play directly to our quarterback. It's a very basic thing.
Bortles has audibled out of plays before....of all things we are screwing up, a play call should not be one.
One of those audibles led to a pick six. If Blake is going to audible, he needs to know which audible to call.
