Power Rankings at the halfway point. We know who is bad, but who is a real contender and just a pretender?
1. Denver Broncos - Hottest team, in an unstoppable groove as of late.
2. Arizona Cardinals - Just keep winning.
3. Detroit Lions - Biggest surprise. So many key players out and still win. Golden Tate looks like the best FA signing.
4. New England Patriots - Resurgence.
5. Philadelphia Eagles - This is a playoff team if healthy.
6. Dallas Cowboys - Tough loss but not indicative of team's potential.
7. Indianapolis Colts - Good team. Ben had a career day and it was barely enough.
8. Cincinnati Bengals - A contender without AJ Green. Elite with AJ Green.
9. San Francisco 49ers - Tough divisional road. Will be racing the Seahawks for a wild card spot.
10. Kansas City Chiefs - Slow start but look to have gotten on postseason track.
11. San Diego Chargers - Solid team. Will be racing the Chiefs for a wild card spot.
12. Seattle Seahawks - Crucial victory to end the 2nd quarter of the season. Still need to regain their form regardless of locker room differences.
13. Baltimore Ravens - A few tough games remaining on schedule it will be a tight race to the end in the AFC North.
14. Pittsburgh Steelers - Have looked like a completely different team since two weeks ago.
15. Green Bay Packers - Their hot streak ended but the Saints aren't going to lose much at home.
16. Buffalo Bills - Another surprisingly competitive team. I don't think they'll make the playoffs but will be around at the end.
17. Miami Dolphins - Have been coming on as of late.
18. Cleveland Browns - Probably not as good as their record. But style points don't really matter in the NFL.
19. Houston Texans - Quietly hanging around. J.J. Watt is a serious MVP candidate.
20. New Orleans Saints - Finally showing some life.
21. Carolina Panthers - Will the real Panthers please stand up?
22. New York Giants - It's going to be interesting to see how they look after the bye week. Schedule not looking favorable though.
23. Washington Redskins - Impressive upset.
24. Chicago Bears - Good performances shrouded in awfulness.
25. Minnesota Vikings - Could have been a lot better with AP.
26. St. Louis Rams - Not good away from the dome. Davis will have the remainder of the season to prove he could be the franchise's guy.
27. Atlanta Falcons - Head scratching.
28. Tennessee Titans - Probably the leading candidate for Mariota/Winston.
29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Competitive in games. One of the other Mariota/Winston candidates.
30. Jacksonville Jaguars - A sense of getting better. Have to stop with the self-inflicted wounds.
31. New York Jets - Have only beaten the winless team.
32. Oakland Raiders - Only winless team.
