It really wasn't. He had it and dropped it... Stop trying to make it something it wasn't... Sure would have been a nice catch.. But he didn't make it
He definitely could have caught that TD in the beginning of the game. Could've been a better throw, but Robinson had both hands on it.
Other than that though, I think he could break 1,000. He's a talented receiver and is Blake's go-to guy thus far. I'm excited for him.
I think he can and will.
He's going to be a good one and likely a long term piece to our offensive puzzle. Great selection by Caldwell and crew.
If he is able to continue to be effective in the running game, he'll get close. i don't think he'll do it this year just because there are only so many games left to be played, and he's bound to have a misstep every so often.

I think you've mistaken ARob and DRob.

You are the one making stuff up. It is impossible to watch that play and say he should have caught a ball that was obviously overthrown. It was 100% Blake's fault that Allen was unable to catch it.

Apparently you forgot to look at one letter in the subject title. Allen Robinson is not a running back.

You are correct. Crazy day yesterday.
ARob can certainly get to 1,000 yards receiving. He's clearly a target Bortles looks to on a regular basis.

Well, they do look alike with their helmets on,

It would have been a great catch if he made it.
Unfortunately, it was all downhill for the Jags offense after that.
The one thing I've noticed about Robinson is that he has a propensity to mistime his jumps. That TD pass was a perfect example where he probably jumped a little early. It still was thrown high, and it would have been an amazing catch, but it seems like he's done this a few times where he's left his feet a little earlier than he should, if he should jump at all. This is all part of the process of developing the timing and being more instinctual and in synch with your QB.
Quote:He dropped a touchdown today... And most of all his stats are garbage time... You're all dumb... He's got talent but he's done nothing more than catch a ball and break a tackle... He got a td on broken coverage... Really nothing special yet. He's no Sammy watkins
So if all of his catches are in "garbage time" what do you say to the stats that were presented that show he has caught 20 passes in the 1st half of games and 19 in the second half? Nobody is comparing him to Watkins except for you. Robinson was a late 2nd round pick, Sammy Watkins was the 4th pick overall. No **** Watkins is better. If he wasn't, then the Bills GM would be looking for a new job right now.
Quote:Dude I like the kid a lot. He's a possesion WR who can catch. He's got an act for getting open on scrambles and making catches eith defenders all over him.. But he's not a #1 doesnt have the speed
This was a blurb from Matthew Berry's "love/hate" column before last weeks game:
"
Since Blake Bortles started playing in Week 4, Allen Robinson is top 10 in receptions, top 14 in targets and 26th in the NFL in yardage."
Also, his numbers are more encouraging than they seem:
With
Chad Henne at QB: 5 halves, 11 targets, 6 receptions, 81 yards. Averaging 16.2 yards per half. Over 16 games, that ends up as
518 yards.
With
Blake Bortles at QB: 11 halves, 52 targets, 33 receptions, 372 yards. Averaging 33.8 yards per half. Over 16 games, that ends up as
1,082 yards.
Quote:All of his catches besides last weeks TD were garbage time... And he dropped the TD today... We're all overrating him because he's not dropping tons of balls like shorts or hurns
Where is blackmon!?!?
You know, it really helps if you actually know what you're talking about before you try to add to a conversation. And if you don't, then you probably shouldn't add anything to it.

Because Blake Bortles did not play the first two and a half games, we have to project Allen Robinson's statistics with him for 12.5 games. That is under 1,000 yards, but it follows the 81 yards with Chad Henne. So would Robinson's 16-game projection be over 1,000 yards when you combine the first 81 and the 12.5-game projection?

No he would finish on 993 as BB would have played 13.5 games not 12.5
He could but he wont and thats fine
bortles to robinson first down is looking like a combination of words we could be for the next 6 years
Whats really exciting is to finally starting seeing some obvious building blocks on the roster
The record might not reflect it but its exciting to be a jags fan

Only six? More like 16 if Robinson likes being a Jaguar.

You're nuts if you think a player will stay with one team for 16 years in this day in the NFL (if he's not a QB).
