You're nuts.. I've seen the JLC Halloween so many times and Zombie's version.. Back then, Halloween was scary sure but it was just a typical slasher flick. Zombie turned Halloween into a slasher/psychological horror..
Quote:I Think Rob Zombie's version was 10x better than the original..  Loved how he went into Myer's childhood..
I liked it, but the original is the best to me. I did like H2O too.

I'll have what you're smoking.
There was a black and white movie I watched when I was a kid, Carnival of Souls, that gave me nightmares so vivid I still remember them to this day. I've resisted watching it again as I don't want to ruin that memory, as troubling as it is. In the Wikipedia article I linked, the film has been cited as an influence on George Romero and David Lynch.

There was a movie I caught recently called "Afflicted". It's of the found footage variety, but It was pretty darn good! Also another really good found footage movie is "The Bay". It's really a notch above the usual and was directed by a bona fide director in Barry Levinson.

Oh another one and it's totally DISGUSTING is "Would you rather". Really gross/gory, so if you're ok with that.....

I love the found footage genre. I'm gonna have to check out Afflicted and I'm surprised I haven't seen it yet. I saw The Bay and thought it was alright. The Tunnel is another pretty good one.

I saw a movie in the 80's called Mother's Day. Crazy low-budget film.

Saw this on Yahoo.  I have never heard of any of them, but thought that might be exactly up your alley.

Totally loved Afflicted! Good movie and not just a cookie cutter type.

The Bay I didn't think so highly of.
