I miss the one-two punch we used to have. With what appears to be a solid start on building a passing offense, imagine if we could get a dynamic running game to go along with it. RBs come in and produce quickly, unlike most WRs. If we had Duke/DRob along with our QB, WRs, and Oline with a year under their belt, this offense could be really good. TE needs to be added as well.
Did Fisch work with Duke while he was at Miami? If so I could see him lobbying Caldwell to draft him if he's available in the mid rounds.
Unfortunately TEs are supposed to be a weakness in this years draft so we might be stuck with another year of the giraffe and Harbor.
I love Duke, but unfortunately I think he may be gone before the middle rounds. We would probably have to use a 1st or 2nd on him....the guy is a monster. He's one of those running backs that makes the offensive line look better instead of the other way around.
I think it makes sense to pick one of the RBs available, if we really do end up with a strong RB class. But wouldn't they want one who is different in style to DRob ? Or does the Shoelace experiment come to an end ?
