Gus has a chance here to prove he's taking a step forward as a Head Coach. The Dolphins game is a winnable game even though it would seem the phins have more recognizable talent at this time. I think that the dolphins coaching staff is not even average and Gus should have his squad prepared to whoop some tail. I know that its players not plays but in this case Gus should have an effect on these youngins to take the next step and build on last week with a winning streak. What say you guys? What should the game plan be or what would you like from our coaching staff this next game?
The only remaining games I think they may have some serious problems with are the Colts and the Ravens. I think they could match up everyone else, even the Cowboys and Bengals.
This would be by far the most impressive victory of the Gus Bradley era.
We are down some veteran players though on our very young squad and they are perfectly healthy from what I can see.. if we can pull this of it would be epic..
Miami has made it firmly into the middle third of teams, and they are looking up.. We just escaped the leaky wet corner of the basement. A win over the Dolphins (-Poz) would indeed be a statement game that we are not the patsies most everyone thinks.
I want to see something defining out of Bradley. And I don't mean going for it on fourth down in our own end. A key play, well-practiced, successfully executed, at a key moment, is what I am looking for.
Lee on the end-around was good, the first time. Trying it again in the same game, not so much. If they try it again so soon, I will be disappointed. Add a twist, or disguise, maybe even a half-back option thing, and have it work thru repeated practice. That would be something.

Lee needs to go downtown, not side to side. That's what made him the best in college. I'm sure that's why they drafted him too, to be a deep threat.

I like it. Good post! I definitive want to see some wrinkles and see if we can execute them. That would be a good sign of coaching up and game planning.

I completely agree. It was offered as an example only. The point is, I want to see some 'difference-making' coaching ON THE SIDELINE, during the game. Something prepared, and displayed at just the right moment, that gives us an extra edge. I haven't really noticed this up to now. To my eyes, Gus has been rather plain vanilla in game. I do like him. I just think he may be too preoccupied with other team matters to have deep-thought game-planning.
I wish there were less 'Gus Bradley' shows, appearances on radio (tv?), reading of commercials etc. I'd also like to see him disguise his persona a little more at the podium. Too cozy with the press is always a bad thing. Rather he spent his time away from the spotlight finding us that 'little bit extra'. It's a game of inches, on and off the field.

I would love to beat the Cowboys. All the hype they have this year would put us on the map even more. And we'd probably gain a lot more London/European fans. But I agree, most of the remaining games should stay competitive.

That's all well and good, but Fisch runs the offense. Bradley's success depends on player development, not play calling.

Me too, My dad trained me to never root for the Cowboys no matter who their opponent is and although they don't have the most bad guys anymore I can't root for them. Unfortunately, now they are are the best team in the NFC East, even better than Troy Aikman expected, so I expect to see a blowout loss in London.
Now I am not sure about the Bengals. During the Panthers game, I heard they are the division leaders. Then they went to Indianapolis and were shut out in a game that a studio analyst said was worse than the score. I can't figure out how good the Bengals are. However, I expect to lose at Cincinnati.

It's clearly a combination of players AND plays.
You are right, though. We have a very good chance of winning this game. It's a matter of how we game plan against a team that is very similar to us.
The have a good D-Line. We have a good D-Line. They have an suspect QB, we have a rookie QB. They have mediocre WRs, we have rookie WRs. Our special teams seem to me to be similar.
It's the NFL, we both have talent. It's a matter of how well our coaches have our team prepared.
I have another really good feeling about this game. But if we come out playing soft, we'll get torched. If we get torched, it's not the players, it's the preparation and scheme that killed us.
Our players are ready for a winning streak. We have to be aggressive and take the game to the Dolphins. If we play soft and let them dictate to us, we won't cover the spread.
I'm betting we cover the spread! C'mon coach Babich! Bring the pain, early and often!

If the HC isn't aware of what plays are run, how often, and in what situations, I would be suspect of their overall ability. Particularly key plays designed and practiced for tide-turning moments of a game.
