No one talks about Tom's comment about "learning every day. if you don't you might as well be dead!"
Learning every day = getting better every day = same as Gus' dreaded "process"

Obviously they are two very different people.
The problem is that for years, people questioned Gus' philosophy without really understanding the message. The problem has never been about the message or the philosophy. It was the way Gus executed it (and the lack of accountability). As i've tried to debate many times in the past, there are very many successful people in businesses that use the same philosophy.
There's so much hate for Gus, that even when Tom himself talks about the very same thing, people gloss over it because they want to focus on what only confirms their point.

I think the difference is Gus is "Get better and try you best"...TC is "Get better and dont [BLEEP] up"
