Quote:You really don't think Bortles being so horrible contributed to that?

I figure their is plenty of players who "contributed" to those 13 losses, but the only 2 people who have that 3-13 record go on their official stats are the HC and the starting QB, so I'll start there.
#BecauseCoughlin is already going overboard.

Nostalgia is a powerful thing, but there's still a lot yet to prove for the future.

Speaking of plugs...

butthurt, are you?
You JUST CAN NOT BLAME BLAKE, or one person, one GUY. Sure BLAKE had his mistakes too. But let's start with GUS, Looked how far better the team was without the Rah Rah, pom-pom Gus, can start with coaching.

Were several passes BLAKE threw to, that was tipped that should have been caught, turned into interceptions. Times to a WR took the wrong route too. Sure he's to blame for some or most too.

Take it to the Offensive line to, not allowing time, blocking better.  for 4 years our o-oline has been pathetic.

This team at times just gave up to, Was not really trying, fighting for the ball or game too. They had lost interest, was not thrilled about even playing, they showed it clearly on the field. I watched some WR`s run out and just gave up.

Let's face it, we didn't get a lot of calls last year too. Greenbay game along, The NFL came out said they missed 7 calls against the JAGS, all passing related to.

For 4 years UNDER GUS, We had stupid, silly penalties, personal fouls, Players making mental errors mistakes.  And GUS said 4 years we can correct these things, but yet never did. Look up and read how many times a team gets a personal foul, that the other team scores.

ITS JUST WAS NOT BLAKE, Our special teams was a total disgrace in pro football. Every time we kicked off I begging for a touchback, Really shocked more teams didn't try to run back kickoff returns. The real ONE SPOT THAT WAS GREAT, GOOD all year was OUR PUNTER !!!

You can blame the play calling also, putting blake back there in long 3 rd downs, or long distance passes needed, when your line can not block.

Why is this team going to be better next year and so improved? Coughlin, and Marrone.  They are going to have Disciplined and BE ACCOUNTABLE !!! Coughlin knows talent, Have we all forgotten he took a franchise team in its second year to an AFC championship game. He went out got Brunell, Found Jimmy Smith. Drafted his BIG GUYS fast. He believes in it starts in the trenches. And watch thiDRAFT, our first round PICK is gonna be on the O)-LINE !!! With no O-LINE your not going to run, and your passing game is gonna stink,

nothing more mature moderator appropriate than suggesting that my [BLEEP] would be hurting from insertion. keep it classy and professional. you are doing a great job of representing our community.
Quote:my question to you is Blake the only person who contributed to the 3-13 record or can we also put A-Rob one trick pony , Hurns(drops), Thomas (lack of motivation), the run blocking of the offensive line, Ivory(injury prone), Yeldon(overrated as a feature back) and the defense in ability to hold on to 4 quarter leads have contribute to the record as well but i get it Blake is the easy hanging fruit so it's so easy to blame just him.
There was a ton of really bad football played by the jags last year.

Blake was horrible overall

And yeldon?

He got the ball A LOT for a guy who is not very productive.

I realize he was the starter....

But he imho is never going to be Worthy it.

Yes occasionally he got some yard's.

But grant came in and produced starter RB numbers with PASSION.

And he was on the bench or inactive all year.

Makes me sick to think about what may have happened if grant was the starter all year
Agreed. Jags R Bake

....the offseason teal koolaid is starting to flow early this year.

"Last to first".....lol...... just don't bet on it.

Quote:Yay, Super Bowl win in 2018, I'm hyped.

Figures .... we win our 1st Super Bowl and have to go to Minneapolis MN to do so.  It's going to be freezing cold up there next year.

I agree with everything. But Blake mosy likely will be tested as the starter. Will have to earn it.

I'd agree the last two years have been disappointments from the kool-aid standpoint.  The first couple years of Bradley's reign on the other hand...fans should have understood they were going to suck with a complete rebuild.  Then the year before that was Malarkey's year, 'nuff said.  The year before that was Del Rio's final year and yeah, I did drink the kool-aid that year and was disappointed.  Then in 2010 we were a win away from the division championship but couldn't finish it off.  It was a fun year though and given that expectations were low I'm not going to complain all that much.

Helps to have some perspective.
