Hate being in California

Serious ?  How do you watch the games when you are out of the viewing area?

Quote:All they did was swap networks. Houston vs tenn will air on fox. Seattle vs Carolina on CBS.

At least from a Seattle standpoint,  it reminds me of the around 25 seasons when they were in the AFC.    It took a long time to get used to the Seahawks being back in the NFC.

Back in the NFC? I thought they were always in the AFC until 2002.

If you are out of the viewing area, you are also too far trom the stadium.

The Seahawks were in the NFC West in 1976.  They moved to the AFC West in 1977.

Why did they switch conferences when I was a baby?

During the first two seasons of Seattle and Tampa Bay,  the plan was for each time to play all 26 of the established NFL teams once.   With the Seahawks and Bucs playing each other in both seasons.   Hence,  during the 1976 season,  the Seahawks played against the NFC teams.  In 1977,  the Seahawks played against the AFC teams.  The Bucs went from the AFC West in 1976 to the NFC Central in 1977.
