Alright guys, the 24 hour celebration period is officially over. And now the Jags have to turn their attention back on to the Dolphins and that beast known as Cameron Wake.
How do you guys think that the team will perform after getting their first taste of real victory in awhile? How is our offense going to compete with the Dolphins and their defense? How are we going to contain Tannehill?
I think Bortles responds well 2tds and 1 int.
I think we'll see a lot of TE/FB back to help block Wake, or whoever gets free from double teaming him.
But I do expect DRob to have another good game, this OL gained a lot of confidence last week.
Their rushing offense is much stronger than their passing, which plays into our def strength. I expect a similar strategy as last week by making Tannehill beat us through the air and blitzing a little more often. From what I understand he's not that stellar under pressure so if the Def can play similarly to last week we have a good chance there.
Who is Miami's best CB? I don't think they're as good as Haden. I'm honestly not too worried about our offense. With Bortles, even his bad games, we've been able to move the ball.
Closer game, 21-17 Jags
I hope they play competitive. With this team you never know
Bortles bounces back. He just had his rookie day. 3 TDs (2 throwing, 1 rushing), 250 yards, and DRob gets another 100. 28-17 Jags. Our Defense is going to show the Dolphins it wasn't a fluke, and they aren't scrubs.
I honestly believe we will not allow allow more than 13 points in this game. That being said Im hoping the Jags win 27-13
Bortles 2TD 1INT
Denard 22 carries 110 Yards 1 TD!
Defense will have 4 sacks!
I have the Jags Picked by 4, I believe it's going to be a low scorinig game

^^ This is all I'm asking for each week this season. ^^

Our defense is surely going to have its first real test this week, and for the rest of the season without Poz.

I think your 24 hour rule idea sucks.
The knee-jerkers don't stop after 24 hours.
The trolls don't stop after 24 hours.
The armchair GMs don't stop after 24 hours.
The guys who think they can do it better don't stop after 24 hours.
The only guys who stop after 24 hours seem to be these clowns who have like 100 posts in 8 years, and only come out after a bad loss. They start new threads saying what all the problems are, but disappear until the next really bad loss.
So, in review, the 24 hour rule sucks. It favors the wrong people. So, I'm going to keep right on partying!
24 hour rule is for players, fans get 7 days
I just want to see them win so I can see the next slew of 'yeah buts'.
I think bortles continues to struggle showing flashes of greatness but he isn't going to fix his mistakes in one week.
If we put pressure on tannehill it's anyone's game
I'm not on the team so I don't need to get my game face on. I'm gonna celebrate this win until they get the next one.
The 24 hour rule can kiss my grits
Big D, Big B.. 'nuff said... 31-6 Jags.
assuming Gus 'ya know' Bradley can stay hand from knee long enough.

The Bears game plan was to stop the run and make Tannehill beat them. That is exactly what he did. He had 14 straight completions to start the game. He had quite a bit of pressure. He was sacked 4 times.
Pro Bowler Brent Grimes is Miami's best CB. Dolphins defense should not be taken lightly.

So Lageman was talking about the 1-1 package against the Browns (1 RB and 1 TE), but Gus said it was just a choice for Cleveland and not a sign of things to come. I think that having all of those receivers spread out and only 6 defenders might have been how DRob was able to pick up yards. So if we run with a fullback against the 'fins it begs the question are the gains from that fullback better than what they get with a 7th defender in the box? Sometimes I miss Greg Jones.
Bortles has to get back within himself. I don't care if he throws an interception 50 yards down field. It's the ones on our side of the field that worry me. He looks good in up-tempo situations but we play to take the air out of the ball and run it.
Bortles bounces back with a good game
260 yards
1 TD
4 Int
3 sack
Jags win 24-17
