1996 but yes, you are correct. That class will be hard to match. It is pretty insane to see how good that 96 class was.

In addition to the guys you mentioned. You also had Terry Glenn, Eddie Kennison, Eric Moulds, Muhsin Muhammad, Amani Toomer, Bobby Engram, Joe Horn and Jermaine Lewis.

It's a long way to go for the current class but the early signs are encouraging. The fact that an UDRFA ( Allen Hurns ) has far exceeded expectations, on top of all of the higher picks that are having major success, adds to the potential of this crop.

Been saying this since very early in my draft studies last year. 2014 is the best WR class of this generation (1996 being the best of last generation).
Talented guys with virtually any flaws like Hurns (injuries), Janis (small school), and Norwood (age) got decimated by the depth of this class and fell waaaaay farther than they would have in virtually any other draft.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, the previous record was three receivers with at least five touchdowns through Week 10, most recently accomplished in 1984. Jacksonville's Allen Hurns, Tampa Bay's Mike Evans, Buffalo's Sammy Watkins, Pittsburgh's Martavis Bryant, Carolina's Kelvin Benjamin, Philadelphia's Jordan Matthews all are having huge rookie seasons with five or more touchdowns. But Cardinals wideout John Brown may be the most impactful of them all. Brown was the 91st player and the 16th wide receiver taken in the 2014 NFL draft. He was one of only seven players (out of 256 drafted) who weighed in under 180 pounds at the NFL combine. Now the rookie -- out of Pittsburg State, a Division II school in Kansas -- leads his 8-1 team in touchdown receptions (5) and has seven catches of 20 yards or more, including a 48-yard TD catch to beat the Rams and a 75-yard TD to beat the Eagles.

Guys like Robinson, Brown, and Moncrief would have all been fringe first rounders or very early 2nd rounders had they been in many other drafts. Moncrief hasn't made many waves due to the depth of the Colts, but he would be an instant starter on most teams. Robinson has shown he could be very productive for a long time, hopefully Injuries aren't going to be the norm, and Brown has flown under my radar due to being on the West Coast, but watching his highlights, man he's explosive. Brown is the kind of guy Gene dreamed of drafting but never did.
