Quote:Your funny ...ha!
well i suppose i mean "will be better" hes faster, bigger and has better range and hands than blackmon and gives a much higher effort. I dont want to hear any arguments about blackmons hands either, he had a ton of drops and i cant remember very many jump balls caught by him that were contested, actually there were none lol. Love blackmon, love a rob more
Quote:All he lacks is stretch the field speed

If im the corner im biting hard on any cut he makes because I don't fear him down the field

Does make me wonder why we keep targeting him on go routes though

I disagree... he's definitely got the speed.

If you noticed on the ball that sailed over his head, he was double covered (CB and the safety came over.)   Blake just missed the honey hole.

If you keep trying those, then you're setting the defense up.  Were we not even trying them, you'd see a defense start to playing closer to the LOS.

It's no coincidence our running game was working better as a result.
So Robinson is great, Lee is a bust, and Blackmon wasn't all that good.

Am i tracking?

Hahah for some people yes.

Lee just needs some more time. I mean the guy has missed so many practices and games so far. Blackmon was a true #1 but again... rarely saw the field but for different reasons.

And I do love where Robinson is headed.

Id say more like robinson is gonna be great, Lee has work to do and Blackmon has pot to smoke

Jk hope he recovers and comes back our wr core would be crazy
If you watch a rob in college maybe his most impressive feature was his ability to get YAC, we saw that first hand sunday

Looks like a Crabtree clone to me.

Seems to excel on short/immediate routes with great hands and very dangerous after the catch.
Quote:That catch and yac was a thing of beauty. And Bortles threw a laser. Best play of the year so far.

I was even more impressed with the fact that he made that play AFTER he took a clean hit pretty good from Donte Whitner.
He's gonna get even bigger and stronger as he gets older too. Reminds me a bit of Brandon Marshall.

For those saying he is better than Blackmon.... No. Blackmon had elite potential. Too bad he ended up being a worthless junkie.
Quote:Unfortunately it does NOT count as a comeback win for BB.

The team has to be down by at least 1 score with only a certain amount of time left in the 4th qtr, to qualify as a comeback win, or something like that.

Brunell is the only Jags QB to have a significant # of comeback wins.

I don't know what the # is though, someone out there else might know.

Garrard actually had as many game-winning drives in his JAX career as Brunell in way less games. Garrard had 18 GWD on 76 games started. Brunell had 18 GWD on 113 games started.

Those calling lee a bust I imagine would have said the same about denard last year. Not saying denard has reached some spectacular level, and lee has the benefit of experience at the position he is playing. But he has a specific skill set that should progress itself more and more.. I bet thoughts on him will be very different by years end.

He also holds the single season franchise record in touchdown passes over Brunell I think. I get a bit frustrated when I think about Garrard's career here. Not because of anything he did wrong, but, for two reasons. 1. The JDR/Harris era never giving him the chance to begin with and opting to draft Leftwich & 2. WW shelling out blockbuster money after one huge season when he should have waited like Jerry Jones did before he shelled out the big bucks the first time for Tony Romo.

But Garrard had so much potential, and had he been given a fair shake to start and grow within an offense he could have been a solid starter for God only knows how long as a Jaguar earlier on. He had the mobility, escapability, arm strength, and toughness to be a good QB. I wouldn't say "Elite", but, with him, I would say he would have probably finished every season in the better half of the QB rankings each year, and he would have given us better chances at some play-off births for sure.

Agreed. Lee has plenty of ability. No doubt about it. He's just been hampered with some injuries. He made a great catch on the sideline in yesterday's game. It's just a matter of time before he gets the hang of it more consistently. Fisch needs to find a way to get this kid some space and make some plays with his speed.

I think they target Robinson on the go routes purely due to his size, hoping he out jumps or out muscles the DB for the ball.

Quote:I think Blackmon's name will live on forever in our hearts... and apparently on these message boards too.

This is true.. Someone should really start a topic about Blackmon..
Quote:I wish blackmon was here to but i think a rob is better

Better at staying on the field. But better physically and athletically, No.

I think Denard Robinson's performance against the Browns will help, because for the first time, the Jaguars running game did something to command respect from opposing defenses.

I should hope that Fisch uses play action early in the Miami game and attacks them deep.

I think the throw and catch by Bortles to Lee in the first half on third down was slightly more impressive, but I also love the Robinson pick by Caldwell and that TD was indeed outstanding by QB and receiver.
