I thought so. Even if he wasn't ruined by injury, he's older than Marcedes Lewis is, and wouldn't be more than a one-year quick fix.

he was a slightly above average TE before that injury. at this point in time, hes done.
I remember when he got hurt a lot of people questioned the legality of the hit on him and someone on the competition committee suggested looking into outlawing it.

The hit was blamed on the NFL's new concussion policy: There was a concern that players are hitting too low now to avoid helmet collisions.

Before the injury,  I thought Dustin Keller was a good ( not great ) receiving TE but a below average in-line blocker.
Pre knee injury Keller would be our starter right now with Lewis out. Always liked Keller, but that leg/knee injury was just too nasty. I can't help but dislike Swearinger, no matter if the hit was legal or not.

Do you really think Swearinger was trying to end Dustin Keller's career?

id say no hopefully no player ever has that intent with a hit. That was just when the NFL seemed to take notice of Swearinger and he's been playing with that attitude of being the best. I know "swagger" is a big part of his game, but he isn't that good and last year (haven't seen any Texans games this year) he constantly showboated and carried on.

I love Swearinger. He's such a liability in the Texans backfield that one can hardly help but throw it his way, usually with positive results.
I think at this point Harbor > Keller.
