Paul Posluszny MLB is tied for 5th in the NFL with total tackles 57, tied for third in solo tackles 42, tied 96th for sacks 1, and he wouldve had a fumble recovery for a touchdown had that grounding call been looked at properly by the refs.
I wonder if Gus Bradley will allow Poz to rush more in this game against the browns with Telvin Smith helping out?

I would like to see quite a bit of blitzing in this game. I think you should always have a blitz heavey gameplan against bottom tier QBs. Austin Davis looked like Drew Brees early in the Monday night game when the Niners were just sitting back and playing soft. Fangio started blitzing him in the second half and it looked like Blaine Gabbert switched uniforms at halftime and was out there playing for the Rams.

He doesn't get off blocks well when he engages the center. Why would you want him rushing more? He operates best when the Dline guys get their blocks and he's able to fit into the run gaps. That's his bread and butter. His sacks have come when he's able to come free through a gap. Not when he's trying to shed a block from the center or a guard. He just doesn't match up well with those guys.

Go. Trade him now while he has a little value. He is slow and not atheletic. He is also a liability in coverage.

He has a cap number of $9.5 million.
$9.5 million for an old, slow two-down linebacker who can't cover at this point in his career. He has more value to the Jaguars as a veteran leader than he does anyone else, and even if he was a top-five MLB, no one would trade for him at that cap number. The only ways Poz goes anywhere is when he's released in the offseason (highly likely) or takes a huge pay cut to be traded away (not gonna happen).

Lots of people here were thrilled when Poz signed, and he was a very productive player in our defense for a while there. It's not that he was a terrible signing so much as he was given a backloaded contract and got old faster than expected.
