Nope. Nothing worth tanking for. Let's get Bortles some wins.

No, we should not tank.  That being said Bortles should through it away much sooner and more often than he has done.  I understand the desire to extend plays and stand tall in the pocket, but I'd rather lose a game that's already out of hand than see our franchise QB take hit after hit until the inevitable injury occurs.  This season is done.  Play to win, but if we get down 3 TDs again, play it safe to live to play again in 2015.  I don't want to see his hand get wrecked like Gabbert's, or crack a rib like Cam, on a useless game in a lost season.

If someone offered you a guaranteed win this Sunday or a extra 1st and 2nd round pick next year which would you choose?

Win.  Hands down.

I'd take the picks as long as the team didn't hsve to tank to get 'em.

edit, the word guarantee makes it seem unearned in someway. I want the win even if it's game 16 and we are 0-15 and the win cost us the picks you mention.

the 1st pick is worth tanking for that is the jackpot. Trade it for a vault to QB desperate teams.

First pick cost too much these days for anyone to trade up. No QBs worth emptying the bank for anyway. Those saying Winston should be ashamed.

Plus the added bonus of crab legs and table top profanity. He might even attack your girl and sell you a autograph all while butchering the English language.

Imagine if the Rams had hit on Bradford like they initially thought. They then traded RG3 for a kings ransom. They are so loaded with young talent they got from that trade (Brockers, Robinson, Stacy, Ogeltree).

 

Imagine that same scenerio but we actually hit on our QB in Bortles, we trade our pick for a crazy amount of picks and stack up on talent. Especially defensive talent and Oline help. We could be very very very good.

 

With that said, We need wins and I am always against tanking because you just never know.

I'll take the extra 1st or 2nd next year, and hope the team manages to win anyway >_>

Fans should eliminate the word "tanking" from their vocabulary. Nothing good comes from a team purposely losing.
