I heard someone mention that this morning and I think it was the first time I had heard it.
Googled it and yes, it is correct. Sort of.
Was brought in by the Colts after the draft for a workout but was not offered a contract.
Oops.

Yeah Obviously he wasn't good enough to unseat Trent...

Umm....we also could use a player like him right about now...

Yeah, but we didn't invite him in for a tryout then tell him to get lost.
The NFL is full of coulda-woulda-shouldas. Anyone remember when Jarrett Boykin was a Jaguar?

I'm still not that upset that Jarrett Boykin isn't a Jaguar. He's losing his WR3 job to a rookie this year.
Oliver on the other hand, looks like the real deal.

But this thread isn't about the Jaguars, Mr. Colt Apologist.
Ooops pretty sure the Jags had an opportuneeee to sign him also.

Boykin sucks, purely a product of A-Rod.

He was offered, chose San Diego instead.
I loved him before the draft. I had him in my top 10 final rankings for running backs.
"Branden Oliver is intriguing as a cutback, shifty runner. He may be suited best for zone and stretch schemes."
He's doing well in San Diego's zone blocking scheme. Sometimes I feel like someone should hire me to run their team.
