Quote:It was a poor onside kick. It didn't travel the required 10 years, but Griffin foolishly grabbed it and managed to lose it. Scobee has never been any good at OS kicks. It's his biggest weakness.
I believe the announcers said that he was career 3-11 in onsides kicks which, if correct, is a pretty good percentage actually. The average percentage for the NFL is below 20%.

And we can now make that 4-12.
KIckers are like children....they should be seen and not heard from. Ninja

Meh... his kick was fine... Titans just made a clutch play, that's all.  Credit where it's due, and no excuses necessary.

I didn't think so. I thought it was far too low.

Bradley said it was a bit too low.

Well, gee.....a 55 yard kick had a low trajectory? You don't say??....

Gus is a bright one, isn't he?....

Theres more than one reason why a 55 yard kick is a low percentage attempt and Bradley's handling of that situation was bungled beyond belief and his decision at that point lost that game.

They should have tried at least one more sideline play to gain 5-10 more yards.

To argue against that is insane.

it was in range and if bortles had been sacked (for the 7th time so not unlikely) or the receiver had been tackled in bounds you...and me would be screaming the opposite.

add to that it was 3rd down so if we hadn't got the first for some reason we wouldn't have been able to spike the ball to stop the clock

we would have had to have got the kicking team on in around 8 seconds to kick the ball

incredibly unlikely

bradley ultimately made the right call

Good Lord, some on this message board are just beyond help.

They are either going out of their way to defend a clearly mediocre head coach here, or they really aren't that bright when it comes to NFL football and don't pay attention to what other good coaches do, and have done in similar situations.

So your going with the personal attack rather than disproving my points

Ill happily concede you have been watching football for longer than me so use that knowledge and.show me the error of my ways

alternatively find me a game.where a team in field goal range with 12 seconds left and no timeouts decided to move closer

ill even leave off 6 rookies and 6 previous sacks

im waiting with baited breath

You know? You're really a jerk.

Sorry, had to get that out of my system.

Carry on.

Precisely.

Well within his range, and zero time to get any closer.

Titans made the play.

That's why we all would rather you seek your therapy somewhere other than here.

The board's been your victim long enough.  Aren't you tired of it yet?

His MO. When in doubt, insult Jaguar fans.

I mean clearly he is a die hard.  Laughing

Hurns also shouldn't have stepped out of bounds with at least 7-8 yards to gain. But I guess we should just be glad that he caught it.

Easy Rico. This is the same guy who thinks our military is being sent to Africa to purposely get infected with the Ebola virus.

His life quest is to be proven right, whether it's about football, politics or the correct heat in the deep fry vat.
With this team's luck, we would have gotten 10 yards, made the field goal, 1 second left on the clock, and the tacks get a kick return touchdown.

Spiking the ball is for losers.  Scobee should be able to run out there and chip a 50 yarder without even setting up.  Soccer players score goals on the run everyday -- not certain why a kicker needs 10 seconds to get mentally prepared.  Caldwell needs to bring in Landon Donovan !!

There are multiple reasons.

That would not be one of them.

I would say he's certainly smarter than you seeing as he has a HC job and you're still searching for that perfect gig.
