Quote:lol no guys...but for people to think the arrow is pointing up for this team (other than Bortles) is unfortunate.

The goal is to win a Super Bowl...Gus is not capable of coaching a team to that.  He can't even manage the clock, timeouts or challenges.  He hasn't developed players.

And I certainly don't think Caldwell has earned a long stay in J Ville just yet.  There's not 1 pro-bowler in his draft from last year.

You should have watched the presser. He answered several questions about that. You would have loved his answers if you actually heard them.

In our defense, the arrow is pointing up. Unfortunately when you are at the bottom of the league, it is the only way for it to point.

What were the answers?

We have no confidence in our team so we want to tuck our tails into the locker room as quick as possible?

You can't coach to not lose, you must coach to win!

lol fair enough!
Quote:He can't fix it all by himself, but there are certainly things he could do to make this team more competitive.

It's easy to say "ANY OFFENSIVE GURU" But who's out there?

I'll take greg roman for 200 Alex
Quote:He is learning we need to improve our clock management.

It took him 22 games to learn that?
Quote:Why do you all sound like you did not watch the presser? It is impossible to watch all of it and think he is not taking responsibility for his own mistakes or trying to correct those made by players.

Again, i have no doubt he is trying, but he is clearly failing. Not everybody is good at their job
WWhoeveris teaching them to tackle should be fired.

During the first 21 games he did not waste timeouts on stupid challenges and need one of them back at the end.

That would be the linebackers defensive backs coaches. But if the scheme is the problem, firing them won't help.
We beat the point spread.

Just another of the poor assistant choices on the staff.
Quote:We beat the point spread.
First Step show up and play check

Second step be competetive check

Third step beat the point spread Check

Fourth step Win the game ????

Improvement each week
Quote:I agree.

Cut bait at seasons end, and get Harbaugh in here at head coach (or similar quality offensive mind) and get Rex Ryan in here to run the defense.

The results will be immediate for 2015.
I agree with Ryan on defense but Harbaugh I just see looking elsewhere if things go bad

There is no way you can get Harbaugh and Ryan to come here if Gus gets fired.

No thanks to Greg Roman.  He may just be a product of Harbaugh.

I like Pete Carmichael Jr. myself, but I'm not sure how much Experience he has with play calling.  But, again, I wouldn't want to say he could do a better job than Bradley either.

lol, not with that attitude.

Not sure why Jacksonville would be unattractive as a destination for a prospective head coach at this point. They've got the most important rebuild piece (Bortles) and they also have an owner with deep pockets and desire to win.

I'd be wary of going the route of inexperience again. (anything short of a Belichick/ Bill Walsh genius prodigy type)

I'd first rather explore the formula that landed Tom Coughlin here -

meaning hire a head coach candidate who:

* has successful prior head coaching experience (college or pro)

* has successful program building/ rebuild experience

Okay, and (because the 3rd time is the charm) can you name some candidates who's last name does not being with an H and end in "augh" who fit that qualification?
