Quote:Wasn't very good to start the NC State game either. But they've score 120 points in the last ten quarters. Dalvin Cook looks like a star.
Or are the players around him making look better than he is?
#8 Michigan State @ Indiana
Michagan State will win of course, but I'll be evaluating the nations leading rusher in Tevin Coleman. He was able to gash through Missouri's D, I'm interested to see if he can top 100 or more yards against state's D. Dude's been a monster so far this season. 1060 yards, 8.8 average and 11TD's as of now.
I'm head to Tuscaloosa this weekend. Only staying friday night and coming back after the game. Should be a ton of fun! Interesting factoid of the week. Apparently the SEC West is undefeated against every team they've played not in the SEC West. Every loss is to another team in the division. anyways games im interested in..
Vandy - bye week.... they need it.
UGA at Arkansas - Surprisingly huge and easy win against Mizzou. Maty Mauk is either really good or really bad. Was a bad game for him. Anyways everyone is now writing UGA's ticket to the SEC championship game. They still have a tough road to hoe. Arkansas is playing well but just hasnt been able to seal the deal. And UGA's style of play fits right into Arkansas' hands. I think this will be a close game. If UGA gets past the Hogs, they still have a game at Kentucky which isnt as easy as usual. the cocktail party which they shoudl win but you never know with rivalries games. And then a game against Auburn. they could easily slip up somewhere along the way.
other games...
A&M at Alabama - only reason I'm putting this first is because I'll be there. A&M was everyone's darling but they played the Mississippi schools back to back and lost both of them. now they get Bama. Tough set of games. I like Bama to win but htey dont score much. And while A&M has been slowed down the last couple weeks, they may not need to score much to win.
Notre Dame at FSU - personally I think both teams are overrated. But especially teh Irish. As they always are when undefeated. They havent played anybody other than Stanford... and that game was in terrible weather which always evens the playing field. Notre Dame handled the weather slightly better and as a result they won. I dont like this FSU team as much as last year but they are clearly better than the Irish. Even if Winston didnt play, I'd say this game was 50/50.
Kansas St at Oklahoma - Not sure what ot think of either of htese teams. K State's only loss was a tough one to Auburn. I did think their win over Texas Tech was impressive but then again Arkansas beat them easily as well. OU looked good early but the TCU loss was surprising and they were completely outplayed by Texas. I always say you never know what can happen in a rivalry game, but its one thing for hte game to be close by some flukey plays or inspired play. its another to be completely outplayed.
OSU at TCU - how in the world did TCU lose that game? If htey had closed the deal it makes you wonder if they would have been the #1 ranked team in the polls. As it is, they blew their chance. OSU's record looks good but they havent beaten anyone good. And some of their wins against middle of the pack to bottom feeding Big12 teams have been unimpressive. Coulda shoulda lost to Kansas last week. and didnt look that great against Texas Tech. TCU should win easily unless they havent gotten over the huge collapse.
Stanford at Arizona St - Pac12 is tough to figure out this year. Lots of teams beating up on each other. If State can win this game, they've got a good chance to win the remaining conference games until they season finale against Arizona which could end up being a defacto semifinal game. Stanford is already out of the national playoff race. And a loss here wouldnt end their chances for the Pac12 even though it'd be the 2nd loss. The game against Oregon as usual will probably decide who represents the north.
Washington at Oregon - Ducks are huge favorites even though the Huskies are 5-1 and had a lot of preseason love. Huskies havent looked great this year although they are close to be undefeated with their only loss being a close one to Stanford. Started the season off slowly with tight wins against Hawaii and Eastern Washington but are starting to look better. Oregon is still in the running for the playoff. I think if they win out they make it.
Baylor at West Virginia - Could be a tough game for Baylor. Coming off a huge emotional come from behind win. And heading to Morgantown where WVU gave OU a run earlier this year. Although even if Baylor starts off slowly, they obviously have enough offense to make up for it if they need to.
Kentucky at LSU - Normally LSU would roll but they've been shaky this year. And Kentucky has been real hot and real cold. If you get the hot Kentucky team not sure LSU has enough offense to win this. LSU usually re-loads so easily but not this year. Quality QB play masks a lot of other things and they just arent getting it.
Virginia at Duke - while early in conference play, this game could go a long way to deciding the Coastal. Hoos have yet to lose in conference and Duke will be one of the challengers in that division. Tiebreakers are important.
VaTech at Pittsburgh - I'm actually not that interested in this but this is one of the few games that makes sense for Pitt as far as a confernece foe. They seem so out of place in the ACC but VaTech isnt that far away and they definitely compete in some recruiting battles. Plus its the thursday night game and I'm sure Ill watch some of this.
FSU rolls by 20.
Don't forget UCF vs. Tulane. UCF rolls!

Because UCF is still very good without Bortles?
Coleman 118 yards rushing on 8 carries against MSU. Dude's a baller. still 1st half.
During the long touchdown drive I thought Rutgers might be good. Then reality set in: nobody can compete with Ohio State except Virginia Tech.
I could not believe the MSU/Indiana scvores. The Hoosiers actually kept it close for a long time.
Today's lesson, boys and girls: don't tick off Nick Saban.
Notre Dame not looking "way overrated" to this point in the game
(Unless FSU is actually way overrated themselves,, which could be the case this season).
BTW,, I'm liking the primetime match up between two schools not in the big 3 conferences.
This game is huge importance for national championship playoff spot hopes. This game is giving me a good feeling of nostalgia, when the ND vs FSU match-ups were huge back in the day.
Really cool
Speaking of schools that are overrated, how about TAMU? All season people were talking about the Aggies being good because of the opening day win at South Carolina, which was overrated. Looks like Alabama has something to say about that.
I can't believe what is happening 15 minutes from my condo. Missouri came here unranked and nobody talked about the Tigers all year as if they were a non-factor in the SEC East. Say what you want about Florida quarterbacks, but that does not explain our problems on special teams and defense.
Quote:Today's lesson, boys and girls: don't tick off Nick Saban.
How did TAMU tick off Nick Saban?
Even if they did, that is not enough to explain the score 59-0.
Just got back from Tuscaloosa. Decided to stay only friday night. Great time though. Definitely recommend for anyone who hasnt been.
crazy football day it looks like. Baylor gets knocked out by West Virginia... which makes Bama's early season win over WVU look a lot better. Kansas St knocks out OU... which makes Auburn's win in Manhattan look better. OU is now out of the playoff chase. Baylor needs to win out and may need help. TCU crushes Okie St who stinks. TCU-Kansas St game on Nov 8th could be huge.
Ohio St and Michigan St roll... if either of them win out (which would include a win over the other) have to think a playoff spot is almost a lock. Those two also play Nov 8th. Will be a huge game. Have to think they both win their other games... really easy looking schedule for both.
UGA crushes the Hogs. Running wild without Gurley. UGA is clearly the best team in the East. But they've still got Auburn on the schedule. Could easily finish with two losses in the SEC. Mizzou could very easily win the remainder of their SEC games and finish with only one loss. UGA should hope Mizzou slips up somewhere else along the way just in case.
Notre Dame up 17-10 against FSU at the half. I'm surprised by this. Notre Dame has look very iffy against some average teams like North Carolina and Purdue. I've thought both of these teams are overrated but Notre Dame moreso. Maybe FSU is worse than I thought. If these teams played in the SEC West, I dont think either of htem would have a prayer of making the 4 team playoff. They'd probably hold their own but would probably finish with at least 2 losses.
These late night SEC games are all blowouts. I'm actually watching the Colorado St - Utah State game. Been a pretty good one. And most likely going to overtime.
Nebraska - Northwestern is pretty close as well.
I spoke too soon. CSU just connects on a bomb to get into FG range. I'm sure I'm the only one here who has watched any of CSU's games... but their QB actually looks like he has a little pro potential. If nothing else he has the size and the arm. Physically he can do it. Not sure I've seen enough to say he has the mental side or is accurate enough.
Does anyone know what happened to the California or UCLA player who had to be taken away in an ambulance? I only saw the medical staff working on him while looking for the Gators game, none of the replays.
The fans were awesome there. They chanted his name while he was receiving medical attention on the field.
Yulee Hornet alumn Derrick Henry with a nice day and a TD today.

nobody is who they play so yeah

You do realize Maryland and Rutgers are in the Big Ten and Cincinnati is in the Big East, right? It is not like they played against Kent State five times.
