Quote:Jags already fed up with Toby Gerhart?

Toby Gerhart | JAC

(October 6, 2014 8:55 AM EDT)

Toby Gerhart played on just 10-of-57 snaps in Sunday's Week 5 loss to the Steelers.

The Florida Times Union says it "sure seems like" the Jags are already fed up with Gerhart, who is now averaging 2.56 YPC with one touchdown on 48 rushes this season. His weekly snap count has gone from 48 to 35 to 30 to 20 to 10. Gerhart will not be a realistic fantasy option at Tennessee in Week 6.

As they should be. Could he be the next example of accountability?
Storm Johnson should start. He looked good.

"Fed up" seems an odd way to describe it. Is he being belligerent or something? I think the team is disappointed but I'd say benching is more likely than getting cut at this point.

Then Dave should go too.

He should be a full back instead.
Accountability. One more example of the coaches not accepting poor performance. Obviously the line is not very good yet but at some point he has to make a guy miss.

When are the coaches held accountable for their poor performance?

Why? Is he the only GM to miss on a FA signing?

Because he overpaid a RB? So Seattle should've let their GM go when he paid all that money to Matt Flynn?
Storm def showed more in his limited time yesterday than the rest of our backs. I'd be definitely ok with him getting a lot longer look this week

In how many plays? He limped to the sideline after his second run.

I would say this head coach will be allowed four seasons. Some of the coordinators? Maybe not. Afterwards, if drastic improvement has not been achieved Gus will be sent packing.

Quote:Storm Johnson leads Jaguars in rushing

Storm Johnson | JAC

(October 5, 2014 6:13 PM EDT)

Getting his first career touches, seventh-round rookie Storm Johnson rushed four times for 27 yards in the Jaguars' Week 5 loss to the Steelers.

Finally seeing action, Johnson led the Jaguars in rushing, though it wasn't much of a feat. His stats could have been slightly better, but he had a nine-yard rush called back by holding. Modest as it was, Johnson's performance was one of the Jaguars' best rushing days of the season. He'll undoubtedly get another look in Week 6 against the Titans, and is worth a flier in 12-14 team leagues if you're in dire straits at running back.

Hopefully this will be Fisch's last season on the team.
I think we should riot.. That's always an option..

Is he a better blocker than #45?

When none of the starters are rookies, all regular starters are healthy, and players stop listening to their coaches.
Jags should use Gehart in schemes he was productive in in Minn. Excellent article details how he was utilized in Minn. Notice the money quote: "Gerhart was more successful running behind pulling guards, tight ends and fullbacks into the line of scrimmage." This is certainly why he often passed the line of scrimmage in Minn untouched and was able to run for greater gains. The Jags have to play Gerhart to his strength.

Two yard Toby is done IMO. No explosiveness. No Vision. No chance at leading us to the promise land.

At least we didn't waste a draft pick on him.
He might be the worst starting RB in the NFL. I honestly cant think of anyone starting I'd take Toby over.
