We had a CB that couldn't outplay a FB on a comeback route for the ball. Every play is a mismatch outside every game against any opponent. This is the talent level of this team. No scheme can make that abomination we put on the field win a game. Its a miracle we weren't blown out by 40 again.


Also, because it should be mentioned in every post on this board until he is gone, Gerhart seriously sucks. He, and whoever starts him, and whoever calls plays that go to him, should be removed from the team immediately. Honestly I'm starting to have second thoughts about Bortles because he doesn't simply ignore the play calls that go to Gerhart and wing it.


People I would start at RB over Gerhart in no particular order-

Blake Bortles

Chad Henne

Cyprien

Then I'd say Cleo Lemon has to be up there. $9 mil to watch a guy get batted at the line and throw ducks in 2 pre-seasons before being cut for Bouman? Oooffffff.

At runningback? Absolutely. Gabbert runs for his life, even when nobody's chasing him. Toby doesn't seem to mind being tackled. Gabbert's clearly the better option.

Every time Gerhart touches the ball, I think "That was a waste of a down."  

 

Say what you want about the O-line.  Gerhart just isn't starter material.
