Quote:What he's trying to say JW since you don't understand most of what we talk about on here is, Favre threw away a lot of games where he had the talent to do it multiple times instead of just once.
We all (Or at least most of us) know that you have a condition in which you can't understand somewhat simple things, so thats what we're saying in this situation.
Favre willed a whole lot of games all by himself as well. Some of the throws he made were ungodly.
Put Eli on those teams and they don't win anything.
Quote:Yes, don't ride a good team there just to throw it all away with one stupid throw. Favre (spelled correctly) had tons and tons of talent around him and only got it done once, Eli and Rapelisberger have done it twice.
And Eli led the league in interceptions last year.
It is not totally Brett's fault that he has only one Super Bowl ring. Like Eli, he played in two Super Bowls.

Who's won two in half the time?

I do admit that is intriguing, it's nothing but assuming. Eli could have done better or worse. He's been absolutely Peyton like at times, and Ryan Leaf at times... it's just nothing but assuming.

I should have said this, but some of those throws were ungodly to the other team!
I just want to say that while Brett "The Gunslinger" Favre threw 508 TD's, he's thrown 336 ints, whereas Petyon "The Man" Manning has thrown 503 TDs 223 ints.
Come on... we all know Brett had the ability to make a game or throw a game at any time. We shouldn't even be arguing this.
Peyton will never catch up to Brett on the interceptions list.
Anyway, Blake Bortles criticized himself for his second interception again. He knew it was a bad pass. I don't see how he can throw two interceptions all 13 games.
Blake had bigger and better receivers at UCF. Hurns and Robinson don't fight for the ball. That first pick was a 50/50 ball. Hurns is also a poor blocker. He makes an occasional spectacular play, but I'm starting to see why he was undrafted.

I don't think it's fair to say Robinson doesn't fight for the ball.
Now he hasn't won the jump balls, and you could make the argument he has to get better in those situations, but I can't say he doesn't fight for those jump balls.
But I look at Roethlisberger, and he completed that pass in the 3rd quarter over Blackmon.
I look at Romo, and Dez Bryant came down with that jump ball.
Our receivers have to learn to win those jump balls.

And this is exactly why Blackmon (the WR) would be such a key asset to this offense. I'm not going to give up hope of his return until the team actually releases him. He's exactly the type of WR a gunslinger QB needs.
If nothing else, being a Jags fan all these years has taught me to be an eternal optimist.
We are a team full of rookies and this is the year they get experience. It takes time playing together for quarterbacks and receivers to develop that mental connection that when a play breaks down the quarterback and receivers know exactly what to expect from each other. When you add to that the injuries and constant rotation of receivers it makes that cohesion that much harder to develop. Today the defense played very well and the offense moves the ball but has not learned how to finish drives. For now I happy with how this team is fighting to win games and we should be ready to compete next year. I believe most poster expected it to take three years for this team to become competitive and I believe we are on track with the building process.
Please stop insulting Blake with the Gabbert comparisons! I am sick of seeing Gabberts name on the board it is getting as annoying as Tebow would have fill the stands and team made the greatest mistake not acquiring him for the future. This is no knock on Tebow who is a upstanding man who I have great respect for it was his fans that were so annoying.

Peyton is called "The Sherrif"
A gun slinger? They only scored 9 points.

Exactly. I'm not seeing this gunslinger people are talking about right now. This scary [BLEEP] coaching staff wont allow that from him and he isn't doing that. If you wanna call 3 touchdowns with 6 interceptions and a 38 QBR a gunslinger go ahead my man.
I see a gunslinger, I dont care about the stats of a Rookie QB with a crap team around him.
His flawless throwing motion, scrambling ability, eyes always down field.
Not afraid to throw it up amd let his receiver make a play,
Thats a gunslinger. You cant see this in the stat sheet.

This is something i would like to see more of Receivers fighting for the ball and make a play. I think the rookies will get better at that.

Couldn't agree more.
Blackmon is badly, grossly, being missed right now.

Why don't you watch the game for a change? It is impossible to watch the game and not see receivers drop perfect passes.
I think he's a rookie working on mechanics and decision making as well as learning the NFL game.
