Yes, exactly JW.
I doubt we win before the bye.

You need to learn how to have some faith in your team.
Since our back 7 on defense can't cover anybody, I say we install the 11-0-0 defense and at least stop the run, if the other team is dumb enough to run. At least we'd lead the league in run defense.

And the bye is favored by 4!

I think our back 7 can cover people but the mental errors are making them look worse than they are. Gus Bradley talks a lot about mental errors.

We tried stopping the running backs and tight end at San Diego and let the wide receivers get open all day. The 4-3-4 formation is important to stop Antonio Brown.

  You forgot the....

              Whoosh

It's the mental errors that are most concerning, true. But I've never, never I say, seen more absolutely wide open receivers in my entire life! And it's not just one uncovered receiver on any given play.....it's multiple uncovered receivers!! You'd think the law of averages would result in a Jag defensive player being in the proper coverage every so often. As they say, even a broken clock is accurate twice a day.

I bet you have and don't remember it.

I would love for them to win, do I realistically see them winning?  No

Setting low expectations keeps them from being an utter disappointment.
I will be thrilled if you're right Mr. Spock.  A Jags win... even a low scoring 'ugly' win, would be great; but lets be logical...

Past performance is the best indicator of future performance...

That being said, I don't see enough 'upside' to the team right now to pull a victory over the Steelers.

*Bortles is good and the teams future... but Rothlesberger is an experienced super bowl veteran.

*while ridding the team of Guy may have removed the weakest 'link' in our secondary, we don't know if the 'chain' is stronger.

*Ace is back... returning punts. Yippie....

*Will the o-line be stronger? maybe.... or maybe not. You can count on the Steelers to put it to the test though, either way...

*will the d-line get to Rothlesberger enough to at least disrupt plays? They haven't since the 1st half of the Eagles debacle.

*it isn't just our secondary either and the Steelers know it. Our linebackers are slow.

The likely result is that we will face another disappointing home loss. We can only hope that it will not be another double digit blow out, regardless of the reason. I'm not a pessimist by nature, more of a realist. I generally listen to my head first rather than to my feelings...
