Locker, Hoyer and Tannehill will be voted into the Pro-Bowl for what they do to this defense alone..

Tannehill was almost benched for the Raiders game. That tells me we should not make him look like a Pro Bowler.

This defense is chocked full of "we should not's"..

Next week...get ready.

Get ready for what?
Leveon Bell is a scary good, particularly out of the backfield. Antonio Brown is pretty good, and Heath Miller is coming off a career day against the Bucs, albeit in a losing effort. They have players that can make it difficult for us, but let's not forget they lost to the Bucs, who had just gotten destroyed by the Falcons, who just got beat by the Vikings. They are not on the level of the Eagles, Colts, or Chargers. They can be beat. Polamalu is old and his skills have greatly diminished. No one in their secondary really scares you anymore. Their d-line is old. Their LBs are the only thing on defense that are any good.

FWIW I don't think we're going to be able to score enough points against them to win, though I don't expect us to get blown out either. I think our first win of the season comes next week against the Titans.
Ben: 400 yds 3 TD, 1 rushing TD

Bell: 200 total yds, 2 TD

Brown: 175 yds,2TD

Miller: 80 yds, TD

Wheaton: 100 yds

Bortles: 300 yds 2TD 2 INT

Gerhart: 12 carries, 20 yds, fumble

Drob: 5 carries, 20 yds TD

Hurns: 90 yds 1TD

Arob: 80 yds 1TD

Harbor: 65 yds

Shorts: Torn hamstring walking to the gatorade cooler.

48- 21 Steelers.

The Jags defense
I would love for this to be our first win... My brother is a huge Steelers fan and in class today one dude called out that hes glad his teams got a bye this week playing the Jags... Was hard to say much back to him Undecided Told him Bortles might surprise him tho.

Bye week? Pathetic.Too many people are taking our rookies lightly, especially Bortles. I doubt the Steelers are thinking we are a pushover team because they will see Bortles is a pretty good quarterback.

Quote:I think you just combined games that were 6 to 7 years apart.

Played in two different stadiums, no less.
Quote:nope...no one even mentions that name around here anymore...State College is about 20 miles or so from me...I did however live in Duval and Clay County for about 20 years too...

I used to live in milroy, 30 mins from state

I forgot which year Heinz Field opened and thought both games were at Three Rivers Stadium.
No chance they are taking us lightly..

It's a tall order to be surr, but as the other poster said, they can be beat.

It will take solid hard-hitting football, and mistake free to have a chance.

I just want to see incremental and measurable improvement. The D needs to put up some takeaways, and demonstrate fundamentals on tackling and coverage.

I'd be disappointed if we don't get over 400+ yards of offense. Steelers numbers are spot on.

You know what they always say: any given Sunday, anything can happen. Let's hope that "anything" means our linebackers and defensive backs start to do their jobs.

I want to see Jedd Fisch stick with what works and let Blake Bortles do what he is good at.

Then you will be extremely disappointed because our offense still is not very good, just better now than it was.
Seeing how the steelers are talking in post game interviews and such after the Bucs game, I expect them to come out wanting blood. I hope we fight back of course.

Obviously we want blood too after getting blown out most of the first four games.
Dick lebeau(steelers d.coordinatory) has a history of not only beating rookie Qb's but making them look bad.  The good thing is the steelers are beat up on defense and not very good.
