Quote:OMG!! I was about to say the exact same thing. What is going on with this fanbase that we have to talk about "face scratches" and Hurns "almost dropping" a pass? Are we this bored or this un-entertained? Or as Raven09s said, are we this low? My lord this is a horrible thread.

At least these are distractions from talking about the putrid product on the field.
Quote:I was just wondering about this because nobody else does it in all of the zillion pressers and interviews I have watched online or on TV.

Are you sure you've seen a zillion others?
Wow is this really a topic lol. Who cares how many times he scratches his face during media questions, all I care about is good QB play and so far so good.
Speech Impediment ??  Perhaps he can be our play by play guy when he retires.  Apparently, he qualifies.

No. I wont accept that excuse or answer or whatever you want to call it.  I will not accept this mediocre mindset. I'd rather talk about the product on the field than this insignificant issue off of it.
Ok, I admit I watched the press-conference after seeing this post and it's pretty funny.  This is what happens when a rookie hasn't mastered the NFL no-answer responses, and actually listens to the reporters questions.  After a few he'll get the following down:

Reporter:

"So your team was terrible, what do think Blake."

Blake:

"We need consistency, players need to make plays, cut down on the mistakes, blah, blah, blah."

Reporter:

"So no points in the second half Blake, what are you going to do to fix that."

Blake:

"We need consistency, players need to make plays, cut down on the mistakes, blah, blah, blah."

Reporter:

"So what's your favorite color Blake."

Blake:

"We need consistency, players need to make plays, cut down on the mistakes, blah, blah, blah."

Quote:Is Blake Bortles uncomfortable talking to the media after games? During his first presser as the starting quarterback and after the last two games he frequently scratched his face - and not always where a beard is growing in. TV cameras never show him doing this on the sideline. Could this be a sign that he really does not want to talk to a bunch of reporters about the team's struggles on offense?
He's trying to stop himself from sticking his tongue out at the reporters as he talks..
Now that he knows we know about his nervous tic, he'll become self-aware of us watching him on the field and all the cameras around. Then he'll start moving his hands to his face while taking a snap and fumble the ball. Then his confidence will be broken and he'll continue to slide.

Thanks, JW. Bortles is ruined now.

They might not even be dating anynore
This is crazy.

I was with two sports PR guys for the duration of my trip to Jax and NYC during the draft - they spent time with Blake and did quite a bit of interviews etc - they made a point of telling me at the time how comfortable and unfased BB is with dealing with media and all that entails. Really, nothing to see here folks.

Just when I thought her threads couldn't get any worse.

Maybe he's quiet and reserved natrually. I don't like getting up in front of people and speaking or presenting either. I've been told I am really good at it. But I am very nervous underneath the surface. It's not uncommon for introverted folks to show timidness a bit or awkwardness a bit during public speaking.

We are all now dumber for having read it.  Therefore I award her no points, and may God have mercy on her soul. /Billy Madison reference

And if anyone attempts to sleep with my wife, I am just gonna snap.

Ha hahahahaha
Does Blake have two left hands?

"Go to your home"
I hate to say it but the scratching of the face behavior is a typical symptom of coming down off of fertility drugs.  Robert Mathis used to do it and I even recall Justin Blackmon doing it on occasion.  Not good.

The direction of this thread reminds me of a story called "The Puppy Who Lost His Way".  So you see, the puppy was like this thread.  And nobody, especially the little boy (TS), knew where to find a good topic...
