Shorts sure knows how to get an easy paycheck. We all have seen these types of dudes in our own workplaces.

What you're saying is ridiculous.  Shorts doesn't make that much money and he is in a contract year.  He is looking for a big fat contract next year.  He has no motivation to try to earn an "easy paycheck".  If that would ever happen, it would be the first year after signing a big contract.

Shorts is not looking to earn an easy paycheck.  It's just the opposite.  This is his worst case scenario playing out.  He needs a big year for a big paycheck.  That's not happening due to injuries. Factor in the concussion(s) and he's going to find himself being a spot player for a few teams in the future.  It's a shame because it was a nice story but it happens.  The good news is this dude is guaranteed a min of $400k/year if and when he does extend his career so at the end of the day, any day in the NFL is better then doing what we do .... although I do know we do all love our jobs :thumbsup:

^^^Tru^^^ and he has no marketablity. His best bet is to get resigned to Jax.
