I would feel better about Gerhart if the Jags didn't pay so much for him. I think reflects badly on the GM/Coaches' ability to evaluate a player to spend that kind of money and having it backfire
Quote:2 teams have already cut him, and it is a quarter into his rookie year. That's not enough proof for you?
Quote:As the title suggests, I actually think our oline hasn't been bad this week with with the run game, but this is coming from someone who was genuinely excited about Gerhart and thought we had a steal, but he just can't find the holes, he has bad judgement went to slow down and look for holes (ie that 4 and 1) and when to just power it.I was pretty let down by the performance of Gerhart, but was actually ok with Robinson. Toby should be playing fullback, that's really how he runs anyway.
D rob on the other hand has looked good he gives you a lot more options and I just think the defence needs to plan for him a bit more.
Quote:No he won't be the starter. Because the Jaguars made their mind up the last few weeks about the option to switching. Gerhart was given a huge contract and a lot of money, they won't abandon the decision after the 4th game.
Quote:I'm not asking to sign him I'm just seeing whether he's worth a try out clearly we need somethingCan he play DB? If then, Maybe.
Quote:Is lache seastrunk not worth a tryout?
Quote:Maybe we'll see Storm in the lineup. Or at least Todman... he looked explosive when he was in there.
Quote:Bad grammar on the topic would like to delete the first 'be'
Quote:I think we should move Slowby to FB permanently. We're gonna have to pay Tao'ufo'ou at least $8m/year to keep him around, so Gerhart may be a cheaper option.I'm pretty sure you're kidding - put it's hard to tell on this board after a loss. People say crazy things.
Quote:Called the dud of a signing the day it happened. Sloby stole 3mil a year from the Jaguars. He is not a starting RB, he is not a situational running back as he cant convert even in short yardage situations. This team needs a tailback in the worst way. Gurley would be a heck of a pick up, he and Denard is an elite backfield.
Quote:RB's are a product of the O-line. Look how poorly McCoy has been playing the last 2 games behind his beatup line. If the Jags draft a RB in the 1st round with all of our needs, you will just see more the same and we are in serious trouble. Our line looks a lot better with Denard and that is no coincidence. Add another playmaker in the mix and they will look just below average. You find linemen in the early mid rounds.

But…. Will Ta'ufo'ou is a restricted free agent next year that likely wouldn't be offered anything near that amount here or elsewhere.
