First you need a superior replacement. And despite the wailing and gnashing of teeth among fans, that isn't always easy to find even for a player that's clearly not up to scratch.
He got beat bad but also I can't think of any safety who can keep up with Royal in man coverage once he decides he wants to go deep.

This is true but it makes you wonder why they kept him in the off season in the first place.
Give Loston a shot. He's a big hitter as well (which is the only positive u can say about Winston)
They obviously either saw something in him or failed to see that something in all the alternatives that presented themselves.
