It could have been much much worse like in past games.
Should have been a 15-yard penalty. Bortles releases the pass, is wrapped up by a defender, then another defender clobbers him? [BLEEP]? If that was done to Peyton Manning, both players would have been ejected.
I can't say im displeased since we're in the game in a tough environment. However, the defense needs a miracle.
I would have taken some shots down field, opened it up some with 4 wide and Denard at RB
But honestly 14-17 at half is 10x better than 30-0 at the half
As good of a half as you can ask for from Bortles. You'd like to defense to muster up a bit more stops. Hopefully they come out in the second half and figure the chargers out.

What's most frustrating this game is that our offense is playing exceptionally well, Bortles is killing it, and the defense is tackling very well. But a few plays of busted coverage have ruined it all.
Hey not bad at the half. Adjustments need to be made on that defense if at all possible. I have no complaints whatsoever from Bortles first half of play. A rookie making his first actual start with his stats is great. Wonderful start for him. Most importantly, we are competitive and the team feels alive.
