This guy is a free agent at the end of the year and one of the best FS in the league. Any chance NE doesn't resign him? I do think we cut Lewis and Poz at the end of the year and the money has to be spent somewhere?

We're still going to have a huge chunk of cash to work with regardless of what happens with Lewis and Poz.

I know but we will have that much more when those 2 huge contracts come off the books

They have no bearing on who the team pursues.
I think it's a little premature to start talking about who the team is going after in free agency when we don't know who is actually going to HIT free agency, including McCourty. If he's out there, I'm sure the team will at the very least look at him to see if there's value in pursuing him. I'm skeptical he hits the street.
BIll Belichick loves Devin McCourty, Especially the fact that he can move into a CB position if needed, albeit he is a better FS than CB. There is little chance he hits FA but the Patriots have surprised everyone before.
I think he will get a deal close to Earl Thomas
He wouldn't sign here anyways. He wouldn't even look this direction. This team has done nothing to show any potential free agents why they should sign here.
It's rarely exclusively about the money.

LOL, Really? It's about Super Bowl rings, right? Bryant and Clemons agree that it is rarely exclusively about the money.
