Why I don't like this change....

 

I am not a social media person because I greatly distrust algorithm's, machine learning and some valley type of person thinking for me and writing code to decide what I should see and when.  I liked the forums because the twitter/facebook stuff would already be validated/screened and a discussion started.  That was a win for me.  I didn't need to go to sites I dislike and I could get a fan spin on my team.

 

Oh well..  I'll try one of the alternatives eventually.  Too bad my clicks/traffic is moving away from the team.

If you don't have a reddit account just make one and then when you go to the r/Jaguars page all you do is click subscribe its off to the right side about mid page. Kind of hard to see it.

I totally feel you. Reddit is the closest thing to a message board. People post links to stories or create discussion threads and then we discuss each one. Much more organized than social media.

We are working on an alternative that will allow us to migrate the current user base to a new board that will have a similar look and feel to what we've got here currently.  The big difference is that it will not be hosted by the team, and as a result, we can be more flexible with the content and less intrusive with the moderation.  Right now we're working on the logistics of it in order to make this a quick transition to the new board.  We'll be posting more details as soon as possible, but ideally, we want to make the transition a smooth one where the only thing you may have to update is your password.

My first day on this board was a few years ago. Within my first week FBT was sending me pivate messages to ban me because he claimed I was someone else haha. It was something.

Reddit's UI is terrible. Reddit loyalist' remind me of people who would rather use Linux than Windows simply because it isn't Windows.
