If the Jags ever get good, this is the type of reffing we get to look forward to in big games.

Refs will call some garbage time penalties on Seattle so it looks more balanced on the stat sheet.

Rawls for the dagger, and the Seahawks lead 19-6.

D6, if you read this, I feel for you man. The NFL wanted Seattle to advance and they got it.
If it makes you feel any better, officiating against Dallas would have been even more stacked against you.

Wait till next year.
Detroit is still one of four NFL team that have yet to reach the Super Bowl.
The others? The Browns, Texans, and the JAGUARS!!

Seahawks is also outrushing the Lions 159-27 yards.

Quote:No wonder the Lions going to lose, they got former Jaguars Don Carey
Don Carey has been one of the top Special Teams players in the NFL for a long time. Carey gave it all he got when playing the Nickel Back position in recent games because of multiple injuries. Losing Quandre Diggs in the game at New Orleans in early December turned a position that was solid plus or better into a highly problematic position that was exploited on many occasions in the final 4 regular season games and in the playoff game at Seattle. On Special Teams and in terms of what Don Carey brings from a leadership and intangible standpoint ( on the field and in society ), he's tremendous.

Thanks for your support and to everyone else that provided support in this thread. It's very much appreciated.
There were 3 horrific officiating calls against the Lions in this game. All had major adverse impact. How Brad ' 29 accepted penalties in a game' Allen received a playoff assignment is beyond me. On top of that is the so called all star officiating crews the NFL provides in the playoffs. Much like the officiating debacle in the Lions road playoff game against the Cowboys 2 seasons ago, the combination of an ' all star' crew and part time officials caused substantial damage to the Lions.
Despite the officiating, the LIons self destructed with boneheaded personal foul penalties in a manner that didn't happen all season. Very uncharacteristic for veterans Anquan Boldin, who committed two such penalties, and Haloti Ngata. The LIons run Defense was horrific in this game. That's something I didn't anticipate, considering the Seahawks problems running the ball before this game. Also 5 dropped passes really hurt, including 3 that would have moved the chains if caught. Combining this with the Seahawks receivers making some terrific catches, even with the officiating, the Lions didn't play well enough to win. When you can't get the opposition off the field on two 4th QTR drives, it's extremely difficult to beat a team on the Seahawks level on the road.
Props to Seahawks MLB Bobby Wagner. That was one of the best all around LB performances I've seen in a while.
