I was like many of my fellow fans very excited to see Blake Bortles play and be named the starting QB, however the team does have huge problems and he is only one guy at one position. He gives the leagues worst offense (ranked 32) a chance and even the running backs played better with him at the helm, so hopefully the athletism, intelligence, konads, and raw talent will be enough to at least keep the games interesting...
The Defense cant continue to allow teams to score 35+ points every game... something drastic like putting Borltes in has to be done on the Defensive side of the ball.. I mean Gus Bradley is supposed to be if nothing else a Defensive Guru...

They went years without a football team. You had the history of Johnny U that doesn't work its way out of your system even if the team moves.

Well, while he acknowledged stadium issues are what typically drives franchise relocations, he took the Baltimore fans to task for poor attendance in the years immediately prior to the move. Ravens fans support the team now, but crowds of <30,000 were numerous during the Colts last days in Baltimore.

I always think that most of your analysis is spot on and this thread is no exception.
Regarding Henne, my hat is off to him. He has been a true professional throughout this change. I'm hoping that we can retain his services as a solid backup.
Regarding the WR group, I think that we will see a couple of special players out of the bunch. Allen Hurns jumps out as being one that has a great future, and I believe that Marquise Lee is also going to be something special. I don't know what it is about those two guys in particular, but they seem to really catch my eye in terms of talent.
My hope is that this team can somehow fix the issues with the Defense and somehow get a solid offensive line together.

I am with you on Henne.
As disappointing as his play has been to so many, by all accounts, he handled the benching professionally and with class. I'm not sure I'd handle a demotion similarly. Kudos for Henne for responding positively.
You and I also see eye to eye on the potential of the receivers. Ultimately, I think Lee will put it all together and be an outstanding WR. Robinson is on his way there too. But the bonus is Hurns.For him to produce as he has (and imagine what his numbers would be had he not dropped that TD against the Skins) leaves a smile on my face.

After just three games, Hurns has 7 catches for 186 yards and 3 TDs. At this pace, he'll have 37 catches for 992 yards and 16 TDs.
Allen Robinson has 12 catches for 154 yards. At this pace, he'll have 64 catches for 821 yards.
Lee has 8 catches for 73 yards now. At this pace, factoring the game he will miss at SD, he is on pace for 40 catches for 365.
In other words, all of these guys, if they produce at current levels, are slated to be more productive in their rookie years than the much higher drafted guys listed above in their rookie seasons.
I know, projecting is a dangerous, oft foolish exercise.
However, there are as many reasons why these guys will at least continue their current levels of productivity-if not increase-as there are reasons they can't.

I do feel bad for Chad. However, not so bad as to continue throwing away games. Chad is a well established veteran with a well established history. He is what he is. He was given a chance as a starter and we got blown out.... badly. Time to move on with Bortles and let Chad be the backup quarterback that he's better suited for.

I'd like to see Dekoda Watson in at OTTO instead of Reynolds. The backers have been brutal all season and a change couldn't hurt. Telvin looks pretty much lost in zone coverage and Geno Hayes isn't much better. Poz has been horrendous and a huge liability in coverage. I'd like to see what Watson can do.
