I got an idea: Post the completions, attempts, completion percentage, yards, touchdown passes, interceptions, and quarterback rating each week for Blake Bortles. Then we can figure out based on the causes of incompletions and interceptions if he is improving as a passer and decision maker. If somebody can find his rushing yards after a game, I would appreciate that too.

In his first NFL game, Bortles finished 14 of 24 for 223 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions (including a pick six). Those are the only statistics I know about him so far. That was for only the second half, so he must have higher numbers next week.

It's about putting the defense on its heels. If they come up and only play the run then he should have better stats passing. If we're just managing the game and running the ball/play action the stats will be lower. Stats are just stats.

True, stats are just stats but the eyes tell me the Jags are a MUCH better team with Blake in. His ability to slide in the pocket and keep plays alive with his feet keep the defense honest. The play where he shook off a sack and rolled the opposite way had me giddy as hell. Not to mention, it makes the defense better because they aren't out there getting exhausted after consecutive 3 and outs.
