Parliamentary law would allow for more direct dialogue between groups of people that never truly hear each other.
I don't really know how you fix your whole system. The Irish system has flaws but there's a big choice and the individual viewpoints standout, but we are have 3 times less population than Florida alone so not really comparable.

Too bad we've become too lazy, dumb and complacent to actually oust what Washington has become. If only someone would come along and drain the swamp of lobbyists and special interest groups pulling the political puppet strings of our elected leaders who only care about us during their campaigns.

Our system is broken because we let the federal government become too big and too powerful in the last 150 years. Now we have a system where the only people who are in government are people who shouldn't be anywhere near it. The revolution Kotite mentions should be one that removes 80% of the federal government's power, but that's not the outcome he wants. He wants it stronger to gain his preferred outcomes on his pet projects, which exemplifies the divide in our population.

How do you decrease their power when they control how the system runs? I mean barring a nationwide protest or armed revolution I don't see how you change the system unless you make small little chips at the federal government over years and years.
The report they released offered nothing new other than them telling us Russian Times was favorable to Wikileaks and it was a propaganda mouth piece for Russia. Oh wait, we already knew that. That isn't intelligence. It is also ironic since mainstream media was, by and large, a propaganda mouth piece for the DNC. The difference though is we have verifiable proof that MSM was breaking journalistic ethics on multiple fronts to push the narrative of the DNC (not everyone, but many). We still have yet to have any evidence that Russia provided Wikileaks the Podesta emails through a 3rd party (which was changed from them getting it directly from Russia) and the evidence they do have on Russia hacking in to try and influence the election (say outside of Wikileaks) is largely supported by the fact that Russian Times is favorable to Russia. Is this real life? Sorry, I sometimes have to ask because this stuff is so batpoop crazy that it's hard to believe. Their other evidence is IP addresses which 44% were TOR (therefore mean absolutely nothing) and the others they have not directly linked with proof to a specific 3rd party who is tied with Russia. They name fancy bear and someone else who they believe is Russian. The evidence is vague and at the end they say trust us (pretty much). I'm just not sure how you come to a conclusion outside of that unless you treat politics like a religion or unless you truly trust the Government.
The dossier on Trump is even more vague with broad strokes on dates (entire months) and talking points backed up with no detail. I'm actually a little surprised CNN felt they could substantiate this without looking like the most untrusted network on TV. The only conclusion I can draw is they are so in the bag for the DNC they just don't care. It has been quite the show and I'm actually very optimistic about transparency even after the fake news bill was snuck in allowing our government to do what they are accusing Russia.

Actually, the biggest news that came out from those reports is the substantiated and verified that Wikileaks didn't have any documents that were changed, fabricated or manipulated. Which means Wikileaks is still 100%. Amazing when you consider how many documents they leak and people still defend the government and MSM no matter how many times they lie. The Government also, unexpectedly, admitted the DNC lied when they said not all of the documents were accurate and that some have been changed.

Yeah wikileaks and hackers have become very important in keeping citizens informed of what's actually going on. Sad state of affairs when the only real check against the government and media are shadowy internet groups.
