Quote:So what's everyone's reaction going to be if Gus comes out and says Henne will still be the starter?

Seriously?  You're being funny right?

Lol! Kharnn will be happy.
Quote:This is not a win.  We lost.  We got smoked.

Just cuz BB5 did well doesn't mean that the coaches have any idea of what the heck they are doing.

This is a loss...

Until the coaches actually do something that makes sense it's all a loss.  Fish is a joke.  He had all of this around him and he did nothing but fiddle it around like a rookie.

I'd rather have a better OC than  Fish.

This to me is a loss.  It's clear that Fish is in over his head.  BB5 needs to be great to over-come Fish's defish-encies...  (see what I did there?)

They got Bortles to a place where he got a no pressure entrance to the league. Plan on track.
I thanked the Colts on Facebook honestly. This is excellent.

Quote:That spin move he had when there was a free runner in his face was the most glorious thing I've seen in a while. I hope someone can make a gif of that.

He made good reads and good throws. Obviously a couple bad ones but hey... He hasn't been practicing with the 1s. Very optimistic.
That was an awesome play.  Henne and Gabbert get sacked there..no doubt

If that happened Gus might not finish the season as head coach once Khan hears about it.
Quote:223 yards. Wow !

225 yards, 2 touchdowns, 2 interceptions

Quote:Well, I actually have hope for next week. That is worth it for me.

I still don't see any way we win at San Diego. It will be his first week working exclusively with the starters and all rookies have growing pains, plus it is a road game. But I'm sure the point differential will be much smaller without Chad Henne playing the first half.

That was awesome, but I would rather get a gif of his first touchdown pass. Not many quarterbacks score their first touchdown like that.

How is Fisch to blame? QB change and the offense becomes prolific. Spell the name right if you want any credibility. Fisch now has his prized rookie QB who can move the ball and not collapse under pressure. Let's judge him at the end of the year.

Not quite prolific yet, but I could definitely see the spark we have all been waiting for - the "it" factor Henne lacks. Seeing that made me grin ear to ear when I turned the TV off.

Maybe it's just 20 years of being a jags fan, but I've learned to savor a good loss

My first thought, no way Henne pulls that off!

What's prolific then? It may have been garbage time but 220 plus passing in a half is prolific.
Quote:It doesn't feel like a win to me. The best thing I for me was that the offense didn't look stagnant with Bortles. For the forst time this year it looked like it had some life. That being said, he still looked like a rookie and his footwork really bothered me. I could see why they have avoided playing him.
He isn't perfect, but even with his deficiencies, he's way better than Henne has proven himself to be. The team actually seemed to get some energy when he started. If he had started instead of Henne, this might not have been another blow out. There should be absolutely no reason for Chad Henne to ever start again unless Bortles gets injured.
So true I feel like we won. Fans was happy as hell leaving the stadium lol.

I mean almost prolific. Bortles cannot single-handedly make all 10 guys around him better. Everyone needs to improve, not just the quarterback.

I don't even want to think about the what-ifs. That would just make you all mad at the coaches when they were doing their best to get him ready before he starts a game. But there is no doubt we would have scored some points in the first half. Even if Bortles gets hurt, I would rather see him than Henne if he is physically able to play effectively without aggravating the injury.

Of all of the QBs in team history, maybe Brunell makes that throw.  Maybe.

Garrard might have made the spin, but he might have self sacked or tucked and run.

No way Leftwich makes that spin.

Gabbert gets sacked on the play.

Bortles showed incredible poise in moving away from the rush, good presence of mind to look downfield, and good touch in hitting the FB down the sideline.
If Henne is named the starter for next week I will postpone my first ever trip  Everstank field !

Oh, so they were focusing on BB5 to start in the 2nd half of week 3 the moment they drafted him and saw him during the OTA's?  Man, they are geniuses!!!  Clearly they are then making sure that Denard Robinson only becomes the next Mercury Morris by week 10 so that we can sneak up on the rest of the AFC South and get a bye week for the playoffs, right?

You're wishful thinking is ridiculous and not founded on any real football analysis.

I choose to call the OC Fish because I do not respect him as the OC.  He gave up on Denard Robinson after he was the only RB that actually seemed to be effective all day.  But if you want to respect a dud of an OC, you can.

He's a fish, Imma call him a fish...
