Next week is a tough game on the road. Thought this would have been a great week to start, but I'm not complaining.
Quote:and im not saying that the defense is great, but i think they will be helped by better QB play

Should definitely help. This season our offense has had the ball for 29:14, 20:59, and 22:57. It's no coincidence that when our offense plays poorly our defense does as well, they're getting gassed.

I would agree except our D gets ran over when the game begins.  How do you explain that?
Bortles wasnt "ready" at the beginning of the game but all of a sudden his ready timer dinged at halftime? This coaching staff aint good man. They will never get us where we all want the team to go.

I agree and that's of great concern.  However, I'm more concerned that DC is as good a GM as we all think.  :/

I said it would help, not solve all of their issues.
Quote:Is Taylor a radio analyst now? He wasn't one of the TV guys.

Yep. They also have him on the scoreboards doing commentary during half time.

The Jury is still very much out on David Caldwell. Outside of Bortles there's lots to question with his drafts and free agency moves.

Free agency more than draft picks. I think they'll be alright as they grow but these bargain basement signings are trash. He keeps trying to find home runs on the cheap and has gotten burned on a few investments. Beadles is garbage.

The past 2 games, ^^ this is absolutely true. They gotta be better than this..
i can't get over the fact that Bortles sticks his tongue out on every throw. One day he's going to bite his tongue soooooo bad

I did nvot even notice that. Hopefully somebody will ask him why.

I hope it is due to his confidence. He is licking his chops as he knows he can make the throw. Or maybe he is part dog. At least he is a jaguar.
Same reason why Michael Jordan (GOAT) always had his tongue out. He was the best. Bortles sticks his tongue out, so that means he will be the best. Only the best stick their tongues out.

LOL Well you know jaguars are predators. However that habit must have started when he was living in the Orlando area because that picture is of the combine. Knights do not stick out their tongues.

I was just thinking maybe a good nickame would be Blake the Snake (because snakes stick their tongues out all the time) if it had not already been used for a quarterback named Jake (Plummer).

The problem with that idea is the NFL's best player, Peyton Manning, never sticks out his tongue. Neither do Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Drew Brees, who are also elite. So it must only be a habit, not body language, unless I am missing something.
There were players who were labeled as the best before MJ got into the league, but who was/is actually better than MJ in his prime though? No one. Maybe the NFL hasn't seen the best yet, and Bortles will be the one.

That would be awesome, but it is hard to imagine a quarterback better than Peyton Manning. He is the NFL's Michael Jordan.

Now maybe Blake Bortles could be our LeBron James. I would be happy with that.
All I can say is... It looks like he's going to be a hit with the female fans...
