Quote:Right now 4th or 5th rounder. Alabama offense is good this year and will be ahead a lot. Other teams will have to pass and then the "Look how great Collins is" train will start to roll. This is why all the hype for Alabama players build during a season.
Cooper and Henry though are fantastic players and will go very high in the next 2 years draft.
you must have had 14 too many beers if you think collins last past the second round.
Quote:Sorry, Landon not only looks the part, but I see him as the first db off the board and a top ten pick to boot.
id bet money that he is not the first DB off the board.
Come draft time he might be the best safety to come out since Eric Berry. Landon is a beast and doesn't really have any weakness
I think this should be the draft where we make a big move and grab Gregory and Collins. Would be a great 2 additions

Don't drink. Please don't get wrapped up in the Alabama hype. Collins could go higher and most likely will because of the hype. You watch! Talent = 4th round
Certainly appears to be a physical specimen. We would have two nice young safeties in Cyprien and Collins if we drafted him. However, would he be worth the selection if we pick in the top 5 or 10?

OK that's fine but do you don't actually think he goes anywhere after round 2?

top 5, no, top 10 yes

No one is wrapped up in the Bama hype, you can tell he's an outstanding player and top 10 talent in this years draft right now.
I would love to hear the 3rounds of players you have graded above him

How does he "look the part" if he is not playing free safety? We are not going to draft him just to back up Jonathan Cyprien.
Let me say it again: There is no reason to pick a player to play a different position in the NFL that he barely or never played in college. That experiment fails every time except for Denard Robinson, who was drafted to be a multipurpose player before we converted him to full-time running back.

Jason peters, Dallas Clark, Antonio gates. Nick Collins....

How about you actually watch him play and then make an assessment

If you actually watched him play he does sometimes play free safety and single high safety like Earl Thomas. Like HiggyJ15 said, watch him play and then make an assessment on what you think about him instead of just rambling off things you know nothing about!

He played wide receiver in his senior season.
Also, he was not a Jaguar. I am only talking about Jaguars who made positions changes.

Donovin Darius played FS at Syracuse and his rookie year here and then converted finely to SS...
Also, Greg Jones says hello.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Mike Peterson a OLB at Florida and with the Colts...Then moved to MLB once here?
