I haven't taken the time to verify this but it was brought up on ESPN a moment ago.

 

Through all but one game of the first two weeks, there has been 13 games where a team has ran more than they passed.  Those teams have combined to go 12-1.

 

I found that interesting given all the emphasis the league has placed on making it easier for teams to pass the football.  

Makes sense, as you generally grind it out when you have a lead. Also, the run game is a good way to keep these high tempo offenses off the field and let your defense rest. The NFL is cyclical. The running game will make a resurgence. Maybe not back to the old glory days when running was the norm and RB was a premium position, no, this will look a little different. But some teams will start to take the air out of the ball to slow down up tempo attacks and attack the smaller, faster LBs that are needed to defend today's pass happy offenses
That means just 22% of teams rush more than they pass.
