My take is in no particular order,  the Jaguars,  Panthers,  Bears,  Eagles,  and Chargers have the potential to be much better in 2017 than they were in 2016.  With the Jets, Browns, and 49ers a long way from being remotely close to where they want to be,  barring moves that put their long term future at risk to the nth degree.
They have been saying that for the past 3 years now.. I used to believe it.. Now i'll believe it when I see it so I don't set myself up to be disappointed in the end like I always am Sad

Dude has a job to do. Fill a quota of clickable material every day/week.

There is no offseason anymore.

I would venture to say... the Jets with a healthy receiving core and a really good QB (Romo maybe?) could challenge for a WC spot in 2017. Granted their D is not good but, a couple FA signings & draftees and they could be back in the mix.

I think the Panthers being just one year removed from a SB would have to be legit playoff hopefuls in 2017.

Eagles and Chargers on the cusp, being that they have talent and injuries (or a rookie QB in Philly's case) and the like brought them down.

Jags & Bears are either/ors. Improved play from the QB spot and both of these teams could challenge their respective divisions, imo.

Bears D played well in spots and Howard is a really good RB. Jags D played well in spots, Ivory is a really good RB. Both teams are lacking elite or even above average Olines
Let's see who is coaching this team before we start projecting worst-to-first type hype.

Quote:Well the D is going to be really good next season. The Offense is the big question.

Yep.

So... next year, we'll probably be 16th in everything.
Believe it when I see it.

HA! Sorry if that happens. I take zero responsibility. It's ironic though, right? One day we'll be back to those glory days in the 60's, 80's? When were we good again?
Somebody started hitt'n the booze a little early.

The 2016 Jaguars are a classic case of "going as far as your quarterback takes you."  Something that happens a lot in the NFL. It was compounded by a much less than optimum coaching scenario as well.

I don't think the Jags' faithful were terribly wrong to expect the offense to be fine last season. It just was predicated on Blake continuing the improvement he had displayed to that point.

Instead  -  he fell off of a cliff into a deep, dark chasm of football fundamentals wasteland.

Welp...  here's hoping my hope isn't foiled yet again come September.

Quote:The offseason hype train getting started SUPER early whew

cant wait to not live up to this one either.

Absolutely !!!   We're such underachievers in the regular season that NOBODY can believe we'll ever be that bad in the forthcoming season.

..... chalk up victory #1 in the 2017 offseason.
I bought into the hype last season and got burned. No more. I'm gonna have to see some big changes and most importantly, some wins, before I start thinking about playoffs or even a winning record in 2017.
