What I hate about polls. Why should USC be ahead of BYU?

I wonder if my gators can play alabama close if that gives us a shot at the top 25.

Lol!

Get a loss and jump into the top 25?  Doubtful.
SC should be ahead of UGA imo

UGA is above the team that just beat them. Conversely, USC just went from 22 to 14 overnight. These polls are ridiculous. Bring in the dancing lobsters

so much win

Only if they win, which I don't expect to happen.

I know. It is like OSU being ranked above VT last week, which even I thought was laughable.

Something else that makes no sense: A five-spot difference between the polls. How can OSU be 18 in one and 23 in the other?

The real question is, why are they ranked at all?

Because they started the year ranked #5 and have a winning record. My question is why aren't the undefeated Gators ranked?

Because we haven't played anyone yet....
It's like the games don't even matter

this is why I prefer NFL

Neither have a lot of teams that have been ranked all season.

Every year teams are ranked in the Top 10 despite "not playing anybody:" So why should the poll voters care if Florida has only played against two bad teams? I think the storm is their problem.

The games do matter. Look at how far Ohio State dropped by losing one game - enough for me to worry they will miss the playoffs. But I prefer how the NFL schedules games instead of its 32 teams.

The Gators dont pass the eye test yet.  You can look at them, and you arent really sure if they are any good.

Maybe if Kentucky did not have a long history of losing in Gainesville and terrible SEC records people would have thought differently about the overtime win.

I am not going to be a happy Gators fan tomorrow when they lose at Alabama.
