Gus, Dave, with all due respect, you should look to what the SD Chargers did today against Seattle as an example for what you want to achieve for this franchise and all of its fans. Because that is what a real football team is supposed to look like coming off of a major loss. No excuses, just smash-mouth in your face football.

Congrats San Diego. I hope you've enjoy it.

<---- Is not looking forward to the game against the Chargers.

Hopefully not Blake's first start
As great as the Seahawks are at home,  they are often not the same on the road.   They are fortunate that the 49ers collapsed at home against the Bears.

Phillip Rivers and Antonio Gates were flawless in that game.  As much as ESPN would like the narrative to be about Richard Sherman getting beat, Kam Chancellor was absolutely abused.  When was the last time ANY Tight End had THREE touchdowns in a game?

That and it was a 112 degree heat index.  San Diego chose to wear their road whites, forcing Seattle to wear their home blue.  Jack Del Rio did this same thing back in 2005 when he coached the Jaguars.  It worked then, too.

Seahawks started off 2-2 and went to the Super Bowl in 2005.

How about the Sunday night game of Colts at Broncos of week 1. That was Sunday September 7th. Julius Thomas had 3 TDs. Granted it was from Peyton Manning, but it is still 3 TDs by a tight end.

It also happened last year,  as UDRFA Joseph Fauria had 3 TD's for the Lions on the road against the Browns.

I stand corrected.  Welcome to Rodger Goodell's NFL.  Before that, did Jimmy Graham even do that last year?
FWIW, I may also wrong about the heat index, apparently.  It may have gotten to 147 degrees.

The Jaguars did beat the Seahawks in 2005 by a score of 26-14.  Josh Scobee had four field goals in that game.

EDIT:  There is no way it was 79 degrees at game time like it said.  The Seahawks were trying to make an improvised shade out of their benches.

Jack DelRio took the opposite stance, that we wear black in the heat because we're tough.

i wouldnt really say the seahawks were stunned....

no one ever said they were unbeatable and the chargers are a good team.

i do like the way they have been playing lately but there are a lot of teams that id like to see the jags model themselves after.
If the Jags don't find a way to claw out a win on Sunday at the bank, they will be 0-4 the next time you see them at home against the Steelers.

Come on Gus, we need you this Sunday to coach your best game and get the Jags in the win column.
