Quote:I think some people really fail to understand what a true workhorse could do for an offense with a young QB at the helm..

Or maybe too many Jaguar fans don't realize you can have an elite offense without a true workhorse. I'd rather do what Cincinnati has done and draft two runners in the second round and have a nice duo.

No thanks.. I'd rather have someone who would cause defenses to stack 8-9 in the box again, instead of second round whiffs..

Gio Bernard is a whiff? Interesting.

And Gio Bernard comes around ALL the time, every year in drafts.. Very interesting..
Plain and simple, there's Todd Gurley and everyone else.. Tired of everyone else..

Terrance West was a third round pick and has rushed for 180 yards in two games. You can find running backs. You don't need to draft one in the top 10, I don't care how good of a prospect that guy might be.

Who needs offensive linemen, defensive linemen, free safety, a stretch the field tight end when we can draft a "workhorse" at a position that is about the least valuable position in the league.

Good idea.
We should draft a C #1 overall!

That's why I said to trade down and collect picks first..  It's not a good idea, it's a great one.. And with that "least valuable position in the league" thing, is [BLEEP].. Would have liked to see what would have happened with a competent RB in Sunday's game, instead of 2 Yard Toby..

What do you honestly think would have happened? We lost by 21 instead of 31?

I'm pretty sure we went 5-11 in 2011 with a "workhorse" that led the league in rushing.
By the way, that guy that ran for 85 yards and 2 TD's against us on Sunday was a 6th round pick

21 is better than 31 and since a good RB is only part of the problem, I say that's on par.. And 5 wins with Gabbert at the helm, that's what a workhorse does for you..

Save me your 1 yard TD runs.. Gabbert could trip and fall 1 yard into the endzone..

I have no problem drafting a running back. Just not in the top ten. I could spend all day giving examples of running backs in recent drafts outside of the first round that make big impacts. I have already given you three. The era of the workhorse is gone.

What part of TRADE BACK, don't you get?!? I've said it like 3 times now.. Go read..

So where are going to "trade back" to and still get Gurley?

I'm sure a couple of teams would love a shot at Marriota (sp?) or Winston.. Maybe more than a couple, and I don't see either of those QB's going 1-5..

So where on the first round are you talking about taking Gurley?

I'd like to see him taken anywhere from the 12th pick on..
Zero reason to tank ever...but especially not when we have a legitimate QB prospect on our team.

trade down and take the best guard, center, and right tackle in the draft
