Thanks, Dakota.

Unlike the trendy kids, I began using Apple computers circa 1996 for good reason.  I'm in the music biz and all of the early recording, editing and mastering softwares were designed and beta tested on mac back then.

Running them on PCs meant constant issues when updates wouldn't work with different PC windows versions and soundcard combinations.  Running them on the uniform OS, motherboard, sound card combo they were designed on meant smooooooth sailing.

So there  - I do have a reason to be a "mac guy."  But it's rapidly becoming a non issue.  I may convert when this one goes south.
Just ribbing ya. I hope you get it worked out soon man. Smile
I third the bit defender. That's what I use on my PC.

That being said, I never use the PC anymore, either on the Mac or iPad.
I'm not sure how much I can help you with your issue, because I haven't used a Mac since my middle school days.  The old Apple II E's.

You might want to try The Safe Mac though.  Others seem to say it works, but I have no personal experience with it because I don't use a mac.

Thanks, all.  Giving BitDefender a shot. Will update...

That makes no sense when I see/say macaroni and cheese. I don't get it.

Mac 'n' cheese. Got it now. Cute. Clever.

My brilliance is so unappreciated.

It's been proven that when you ask that question...she in fact, did.

"Cheap harlot" is the cleaned up version of what she said.
Though I'm not an Apple user and I'm not entirely sure what the exact issue you are having, I'm not sure why everyone is suggesting anti-virus software (which is generally worthless for personal use IMO).  I can't see how it's malware if it only affects this one website.

Why no upgrade to mavericks, I thought it was free, it might clean whatever preference issue that got changed.  I'm new to osx just installed mavericks on a hackintosh dual booting with windows friday so I have no actual suggestions other than that.

It was affecting other websites too -- but I didn't notice it right away and the nature of the infection is such that it slowly works it's way into oft visited sites or sites commonly visited among other infected computers/networks.

Turns out my router was hacked.  Info and fix here:  http://www.thesafemac.com/how-to-manage-...ss-router/
