Quote:Rashean is now the #1 Mathis in the NFL.

And Curtis being #1 if you need a TV made of wood.
I actually had to google Curtis Mathis.  Love those ole 72" TVs that had a viewing capacity of 27"

I have good news and bad news.

The bad news is you're suspended for 4 games and are now out for the season due to a torn achilles.

The good news is your wife is pregnant and you're expecting sextuplets.

My dad used to own a couple of those stores like 20 years ago!!
I remember thinking 2 years ago that freeney and Mathis were gonna be finished. It'll be nice to see the Colts field a team now with no young players to build around and having to play Luck like 160 million dollars lol
Bill Polian was the mastermind of those great REGULAR SEASON Colts teams.   Other than lucking out with Luck, they really haven't drafted well since he's been gone.

Quote:I hope we are chatting on the phone with Grigson right now. He loves to panic and throw draft picks away

God I hope so. If Richardson was worthy of a first rounder to them then someone like Branch must be worth multiple firsts. He did have a sack/forced fumble the other day.

Prepare for the "Yeah, lets get rid of our best players during a rebuild" rebuttals.

I really couldn't care less about the opinion of anyone who thinks Branch is a "best player."

Why trade a player the team spent 3 years developing and is finally showing real life ability?
Babin would have been perfect to have right now...
The last time this happened, the suspended player had to finish out his suspension after he was removed from the injury list.

It'll be interesting to see how the Colts deal with it

I'd maybe dangle Branch out there for multiple picks.

its all about the angle of the dangle.

but really.. if some team is willing to give us a good deal for branch, id take it. we have promising depth already showing, we have some veterans already and i think truly, branch is out playing his own talent because of the scheme. i think he will also wind up commanding a big contract.
I really hope the tacks dont seize control of the division.  That would make me a sad panda.

The Colts aren't going to trade for a division rival's defensive end.

Who was that? And why didn't the time on IR count?

Wait, I'm skeptical. A player already on the suspended list wouldn't be put on IR. That the team would give up the time served caused by the suspension for a spot on IR that would delay the suspension until the player is healthy doesn't make sense. Serve the suspension then go on IR.

While I still believe the Colts are the favorites to win the AFC South this season,   they are in serious trouble if someone doesn't emerge as a legit edge rusher.   Especially when also factoring in that the Colts interior Offensive Line is a work in progress.

If Jake Locker stays relatively healthy this season,   Tennessee has a pretty good chance at least in being contention for the AFC South Title.   Tennessee has a very limited number of impact players.   However,  they do have a sizeable amount of good ( not great ) players.

At least for now,  Andrew Luck is still the # 1 differential factor in the AFC South.    Despite the Colts overall roster being ordinary in large part,   Luck could easily still prove to be the difference in the AFC South this season.
