I think there ought to be a rule for the next 3-5 years or so. No Big 10/11/12/13/14 schools in the top 15 or lower to start the season. :whistling:

Wow. Kinda surprised to see Stanford maintaining a Top 20 rank. For some reason I saw them falling a bit more than that.

Funny how the Coaches Poll has VT behind OSU. College rankings are absolutely crazy and at times senseless.

Agree on both.  Va Tech being in the Top 25 at all this year is a bit surprising.

I have a buddy who, like I, hates Ohio State as well. He always says "They are as smug as Notre Dame with half the history"

Wouldn't worry about OSU being ranked ahead of VT.. They won't finish the season in the top 25, no matter how biased the polls seem to be towards them

Agree, I think OSU has a lot of losing left in them this season

i can't believe the coaches still rank Ohio State higher than Virginia Tech. Why should they be? The media got it right.

 

I also want to know if Florida is still unranked because they only played one game. Sure, Eastern Michigan is awful, but other teams with cupcake opponents did not have a 51-point lead after three quarters. In fact Florida State only scored 41 points - not even close to Florida's 65. The Gators should have gotten credit for that in the polls. It makes me wonder if the thunderstorm on August 30 will hurt the Gators all season long.

I agree with the decision to rank VT because the Hokies beat a Top 10 team on the road. Has any team not been ranked the next week after doing that?

 

Now people might be wondering why VT was not ranked in preseason.
